The Cincinnati Reds dominated the San Diego Padres 8-1 Friday night at Great American Ball Park. Nick Martinez flirted with history, carrying a no-hitter into the ninth inning before it was broken up by Elias Díaz, who later scored the Padres' only run. Spencer Steer stole the show offensively, launching three home runs in a historic individual performance. The night was made even more special as the Reds honored the 50th anniversary of the Big Red Machine, with many members of the legendary 1975 World Series team in attendance.
