Locked On Reds

The Cincinnati Reds fell to the Miami Marlins 4-3 tonight in a tough loss marked by costly defensive miscues. A shaky bottom of the seventh inning proved to be the difference, as the Reds’ defense couldn’t hold up under pressure. Nick Martinez pitched well enough to earn a win, but reliever Graham Ashcraft surrendered two crucial runs that handed Miami the lead. Despite a towering home run from third baseman Noelvi Marte, Cincinnati couldn’t claw their way back.
