 Christian Faith observes Lenten season from March 5th -April 19th for  (40) days before EASTER. Sacrificing for Jesus Christ ;Giving, Reflecting & Acting. Lent :Giving Up Something Special for You Easter Just Around the Corner: Do you have your Easter Basket Yet?? Lent begins on Ash Wednesday for forty-six (46) days in April. The first day you may have seen on a person  (mommy or daddy)  a  mark that was black ash on their head.  Also, this is a time that you Give-up something that means alot to you to help others.  In some families that means, Fasting (cut out)  from Eating (food) and or Giving overToys/books and or Volunteering.
