Poetry After Dark®

Geovannimarcel is a spoken word artist and activist. She started writing at the age of 9 and started doing activist work at the age of 14 when she spoke as a representative for the foster care system of Tn in Washington DC. According to everyone who knew her while she was growing up in bad conditions she has completely beaten all statistics for a child in her situation. She is a mother of 5 beautiful children and a mother of 2 angels who were stillborn on Dec 18 1998. She is a survivior of domestic violence and mental abuse. She is also living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from witnessing an atonishing 4 murders in her lifeime, two of which she witnessed just 6 months apart in 2008. These murders happened in her neighborhood and because no one else would, she stepped in to try to save the lives of both victims but both people died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
