According to the American Diabetes Association, 23.6 million children and adults in the United States have diabetes. That's an alarming 7.8 percent of the population, and those numbers keep going up. On today's HearSay and in honor of 2010 American Diabetes Month,we're talking about these staggering statistics, and the efforts to bring those numbers down by doctors and researchers right here in Hampton Roads.
