God wants us to have a successful finish and part of that means helping Him reach those around us. Whenever God is at work, the devil will be there to oppose. Satan is real and powerful. Jesus is much more powerful than Satan. The best defense is a good offense. Paul compares himself to a runner in a race (1 Corinthians 9:24). Paul warned to not “get off track.” Paul warned against looking back. Paul wanted to "finish his race with joy." It is a joyful thing to know and walk with God. We need to “play by the rules.” Paul compared himself to a steward. Everything we have has been given to us by God. Paul compared himself to a witness. Paul compared himself to a herald.  Paul compared himself to a watchman. We all have 3 things to give to God: Our talent Our treasure Our time We are to be: Runners Stewards
