Rangers ace Jacob deGrom threw his first professional pitches since April of last year on Thursday night in a rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco. He's pitching even though the major league team has basically no chance of competing for a postseason spot, but K&C think that it's still important for deGrom to pitch to live batter in lieu of waiting until next year to return.
