There’s big news from the University of Maine about the future of fast, cost effective, eco-friendly home construction. The University just announced a new 3D printer that beats the 2019 Guinness World Record for the largest polymer 3D printer. It’s four times the size of its predecessor and can be used by many industries, including the manufacturing of homes.   This so-called “Factory of the Future” was unveiled on April 23rd at the University’s Advanced Structures & Composites Center in Maine. The Center is an initiative called Green Energy and Materials or GEM, for short.
