Esther Leick from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Luxembourg spoke with Simon about the NGO’s continuing work in Sudan, Afghanistan and Palestine. MSF delivers emergency medical humanitarian aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or man-made disasters. In Palestine, MSF is calling for safe zones to remain in the north and for regular ceasefires as well as calling for the restoration of sufficient and immediate access to drinking water for the population of the Gaza Strip. Six months since conflict broke out, Sudan´s brutal war continues to inflict immeasurable suffering: endangering lives, displacing millions from their homes, and causing deaths even in areas far from frontlines.
