Sometimes new groomers, or people who are thinking about changing careers into grooming, are disappointed when they contact me. I'm usually very encouraging, and I love to help inspire and motivate my fellow groomers. But the reason why I sometimes discourage people from grooming is because they're in it for the wrong reason. I can tell by the questions they ask: "How quickly can I become a groomer?"; "How much money can I make?", etc. If you're doing it because you think it'll be a fun way to make money - no matter what line of work it is - you're in it for the wrong reason, and it will never end well.
