This podcast clearly outlines the hunting season for the Painted Arrow crew in 2022-2023. We talk through the various hunts we plan to attend this fall for both in and out of state. We outline our personal and professional goals as hunters this year. Lots of conversation surrounding how to become a better hunter year over year with goals of shooting mature bucks.

Nate and Devin give an update on the what is happening on each of there farms in Southern Michigan. Lots of preparation is taking place before the 2022 hunting season and we are documenting it all. Recent card pulls from trail cameras are discussed with target bucks in mind. The hunting season starts now for this fall!

On this episode we are joined by the one and only Jake Hofer. Jake is a young and savvy real estate agent who specializes in hunting land tracts in the state of Illinois. Jake is the host of the Land Podcast as well as a part owner with Exodus trail cameras. We pick Jake's brain on all things buying dirt with the intent to hunt it. He shares multiple real life examples of deals he has been a part of as well as helps inform listeners on first steps to buying that dream piece of hunting ground. 

Andy May joins the podcast to share how he has grown over the years to become one of the most deadly whitetail hunters out there. Andy, being a Michigan resident, has cut his teeth hunting in Michigan along with many different states across the country, mostly on public land. He has a knack for getting on good deer with limited time at hand. On this episode, we discuss how we planted corn for the first time ever in the second week of May, the year 2022. We discuss why we think corn is a good fit for our properties. We discuss some of the equipment we used to plant corn and why we would or wouldn't use that equipment again. We discuss the ground preparations we made before planting. MOMENTS will be an annual program for the Painted Arrow crew. A week of nothing but whitetail hunting during the prime of the season. On this episode Nate and Devin recap an absolutely epic turkey hunt they had on the Michigan opener, April 23rd 2022. Hunting run and gun style for turkeys with a bow can be challenging and filming the event without the use of a blind can make for an extra challenge. The team takes time to flesh out the details of the hunt as well as talk through how you can film your own hunts easily and affordably. 

Nate and Devin take episode 075 to reflect on Easter and what it means to them as passionate outdoorsmen. In the lives of modern bowhunters there are sometimes many obstacles to reaching those precious days in the woods; those moments are so precious. Sometimes its important to reflect on where you've been and how far you've come to really ease ones mind about the worries of the future. Painted Arrow Easter reflections was much needed for our team. 

On this episode, Nate and Devin discuss Spring activities such as turkey hunting with archery tackle and their plans to plant corn for the first time for deer habitat. Planting corn in the spring can be a game changer for certain deer properties that lack late season food sources. How to identify properties to purchase that are not currently on the market. We also discuss a world class Michigan buck that Devin has history with while in the stand this past hunting season. 

Painted Arrow is starting a new series called the "Buy Dirt" series. It will be all about how to buy hunting ground. This episode specifically gives a lot of background for why the series was started and what you can expect in the coming episodes. Nate and Devin both have early on experience with buying hunting ground and have plans to shine a bright light on how others can have the same opportunity.
