Kat Robinson has penned the new tasty read "The Great Arkansas Pie Book," and it hits bookstores today.  The Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat each take a 3-1 lead in their respective playoff series.  Also, we find out which Southern states have the most quitters.

Back again from the ashes, Jon Rawl hosts "The Y'all Show" from new flagship radio station SuperTalk 93.1 FM.  On this reboot, we share the news of two tragic events in Texas that took the lives of many over the weekend.  The 149th Kentucky Derby included one heckuva finish.  Also, Megan Hedwall makes her debut in Hour 3, where fitness and cookies and cream ice cream are hot topics.

Bryce Mott joins Jon Rawl to discuss the Top 25 of college basketball, which includes the College of Charleston, Auburn, TCU and Alabama.  A new Louisiana law makes it impossible for minors to access online pornography.  Also, Southern food personality Paula Deen has closed a location of her eponymous restaurant chain in Panama City, Florida.

Mushrooms, Bluegrass Music and Chinese Lanterns are all being feted this first weekend of January.  In Monroe, Louisiana, a Dollar General employee is being charged with manslaughter after shooting a would-be robber.  Also, a social media post about grits.

AL.com has authored an article about the 12 restaurants to visit in Alabama throughout 2023.  An influx of illegal immigrants is hitting the Florida Keys.  Plus, is Jim Harbaugh thinking about leaving the Michigan Wolverines for the NFL's Carolina Panthers?

For the first time in over a year, "The Y'all Show" is back on the airwaves.  Longtime host Jon Rawl welcomes calls and texts, as listeners have things to say about Kevin McCarthy's attempt to gain the Speaker of the House gavel in the new US congress. Also, it was a wild New Year's weekend for college football bowl games.

The final "Y'all Kickoff Show" for the 2021 season looks at the big bowl games and CFP action from Dec. 29, 2021 until Jan. 10, 2022.  Can No. 1 Alabama win its 19th national championship.  Or, will upstart Cincinnati put a shocker on Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.  Plus, "General Gridiron" humorous take on the postseason fun.

Bowl season begins on Dec. 17 in the Caribbean, as MTSU and Toledo the college football postseason going with the Bahamas Bowl.  "General Gridiron" puts his humorous spin on the fun with a look at most of the 42 FBS bowl games taking place.  Plus, No. 1 Alabama coach Nick Saban discusses the inclusion of newcomers to the College Football Playoff. 

The undefeated No. 4 Cincinnati Bearcats host Houston for the AAC title this championship Saturday of college football.  Also, the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs are in Atlanta and hope to conquer the SEC with a win over No. 3 Alabama.  Wake Forest and Pittsburgh fight for the ACC title in Charlotte. Plus, an update on the second round lineup of the 2021 FCS Playoffs.

Rivalry Weekend includes Top 5s Ohio State and Michigan in "The Game."  The winner of this one at "The Big House" will continue on toward Big Ten and CFP supremacy.  In the South, the Iron Bowl includes No. 3 Alabama on the Plains against a bunch of Auburn Tigers looking for an upset.  Clemson and South Carolina should have a close game in the Palmetto Bowl.  Also, Big 12 archrivals Oklahoma and Oklahoma State clash in Bedlam.

Select teams will have a chance to claim a conference title this Week 12 of college football.  Veteran coaches Mike Leach (Mississippi State) and Dabo Swinney (Clemson) talk before their teams hit the gridiron.  Also, games to watch this weekend include Michigan State at Ohio State, Wake Forest at Clemson, and Virginia at Pittsburgh.

Lee Corso might have to put his seersucker suit and bowtie back on, as ESPN College GameDay returns to Oxford for Texas A&M's big SEC West fight with Mississippi.  There's a terrific ACC Atlantic game this 11th week of college football: N.C. State visits Wake Forest for supremacy in that division.  Also, Oklahoma and Baylor meet, Mississippi State is on the Plains to play Auburn, and Iowa and Minnesota have a rivalry game for the Floyd of Rosedale pig trophy.  

Aggieland hosts Week 10's only Top 25 contest, as No. 13 Auburn tries to keep a win streak going against No. 14 Texas A&M.  Also in the Lone Star State, TCU will try to get past this week's firing of Gary Patterson and beat their "Revivalry" rival, the No. 12 Baylor Bears.  The "Y'all Kickoff Show" this week also contains news on a new coach for the Georgia Southern Eagles; and North Carolina coach Mack Brown is brainstorming about the playoff as No. 9 Wake Forest is Kenan Stadium-bound.

The Cocktail Party rivalry is renewed in Jacksonville, as No. 1 Georgia clashes with Florida.  Also in the SEC, Top 20 teams face-off on the Plains: Auburn hosts Mississippi.  The Big Ten's Michigan Wolverines are in East Lansing this ninth weekend of college football for a Paul Bunyan Trophy Top 10 contest with the Michigan State Spartans.  This week's "Y'all Kickoff Show" also has an FCS preview of the McNeese Cowboys' trip to Strawberry Stadium to skirmish with the Southeastern Louisiana Lions.

Week 8 of college football includes the rivalry game between Tennessee and No. 4 Alabama.  Conner Smith, a Nashville singer/songwriter, has the perfect song for Big Orange fans this weekend.  Elsewhere on the "Y'all Kickoff Show," Oregon and UCLA have a College GameDay production, newly-fired Ed Orgeron takes his LSU Tigers to the Grove and Mississippi, and the undefeated Wake Forest Demon Deacons go out of conference and to the Hudson as they visit Army. 

The top new TV shows and movies available for download in October are relayed.  After securing her first No. 1 on the country music chart, Lainey Wilson is calling out the fellows.  The National Insurance Crime Bureau releases its annual "Hot Wheels" report, a break down of the most-stolen vehicles in the country.   Also, the ACC Report this week includes info on Virginia's Harvard-educated running back, Devin Darrington.

Multiple law enforcement officers lose their lives across the South during the past few days.   The Atlanta Braves take a 2-0 NLCS lead in the best-of-seven series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.  Georgia is the unanimous No. 1 in college football.  Plus, "Toccopola Storyteller" Jerry Short reflects on LSU's dismissal of head football coach Ed Orgeron; as well as the death of Missouri-born actress Betty Lynn, who portrayed "Thelma Lou" on "The Andy Griffith Show."

Youth hunters in many Southern states get the chance to hunt deer before the grown-ups.   Fishing and hunting expert Craig Faulkner explains.  There are plenty of fall festivals this weekend across the region.  Also, Hour 1's "Y'all Kickoff Show" looks at the Oklahoma State at Texas contest, Mississippi's climb to Rocky Top and Tennessee, and the Battle of Unbeatens Between The Hedges: Kentucky at Georgia. 

Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan and rapper Pitbull team up for a brand new song, "Where The Country Girls At."  There are plenty of mid-October festivals taking place across the South this weekend.  Also, college football's big games this Week 6 include Arkansas at Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas meeting at the Cotton Bowl, and The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry: Georgia at Georgia.  Hour 1's "Y'all Kickoff Show" breaks down the collegiate gridiron fun.

Barbecue and football are combining for the offensive line of the Virginia Tech Hokies.  Jon Rawl and Matt Heermans, aka "The Barbecue Barrister," have fun relaying the story of Mission BBQ and the ACC gridiron program.  Heermans also previews Saturdays "Red River Rivalry" contest between the Big 12's Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners.   Plus, Blake Shelton doesn't forget to send 52nd birthday wishes to his new bride, Gwen Stefani.
