Episode 6: Gay Pride, Straight Pride and a bit of Ancient History, including bathroom hygiene in the Bronze Age
19/09/2019 Duração: 01h20minIn this episode, we discuss Gerardo's experience and the Gay Pride Parade in NYC. Giuseppe and Platano were nowhere to be found (speaking of Platano, someone should tell him not to drop acid when recording). We also discuss the response to the event in the form of a proposed Straight Pride Parade, and the history of the ancient Sumerians, a subject dear to Giuseppe's heart. Episode 1 Intro: Get to know the players
04/07/2019 Duração: 01h19min3 American-born New Yorkers, all with immigrant parents, get together to discuss topics of the day, and life in general. Gerardo was born in Queens with Colombian parents. Growing up in the streets of Jackson Heights, he did his best to stay out of trouble by working out and reading books, often invoking the ridicule of his hood-rat peers. Translating his passion for staying in shape and avoiding danger into something useful, he has made his living as a fitness and self defense instructor for a number of years. Giuseppe grew up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn when it was cheap and dangerous, before the gentrifying hipsters arrived. A fervent admirer of Ronald Reagan from the age of 10, social rejection was a way of life for him. An accountant by trade and a caveman by nature, he enjoys lifting weights, taking modern pharmaceuticals to stay in prime condition, admires hirsute women, and needs to do deep breathing exercises at the mere mention of liberals. Platano, like Gerardo, is also a product of the mean streets
