The Crescent Coalition connects nine local non-profit organizations who work to help students on their journey from middle school all the way to successful careers. These nonprofits are creating a zero-waste, low-carbon future so our rivers, land, and wildlife keep thriving. In this episode, Pamela Escobar sits down with Bart Landers, Executive Director of The Catawba Lands Conservancy and Carolina Thread Trail, and Larry Humbert, a volunteer.

Communities in Schools works with children in 55 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools which have high percentages of low-income students.
