#8 Medicine: The Good, Bad and Ugly
20/03/2019 Duração: 47minIn this episode, we are joined on the phone (our first phone interview...so hang with us) by Dr. Kipp Tiger. Becca and I just call him Kipp because he is one of my 3 great brother-in-laws. Kipp is one of the funniest guys I know, is one of the smartest guys I know and he cares about people and the Lord. Medication, many times, is a huge part of healing and even ongoing stability. This episode will be beneficial for those new to medication as well as those that have been on medication for years...ME! There is also this belief that somehow your bible is enough to take care of mental health symptoms...you can chew on that if you wish, but at C50 we think that both Medication and Jesus can work together...better yet, Jesus may use medication is his redemptive process. #6 Forgiveness & Mental Illness - Tom Rojahn
13/03/2019 Duração: 47minIn this episode, you will hear us talk about forgiveness. Why is this important, well, we feel and have experienced that forgiveness can be difficult in the mental health world. First, for the person that has been hurt by risky and unhealthy behaviors. Second, for the person that desires to unload the weight of their past behavior. Forgiveness can be achieved and found. We believe we do know how this can happen, so let this bold statement prove itself true as you listen to the podcast. If you would like to ask us questions, please visit us at www.C50Hope.comIf you need help finding a good counselor, we may be able to help. Please contact us. We believe that medication and therapy can fit well with Jesus' healing if needed. Ultimately Jesus holds everything in his beautiful, strong and loving grip.
