0-01 Audiobook: When You Pray
05/02/2019 Duração: 51minThis is a special episode of the Impact Nations Podcast. Have you ever set aside time to pray, only to discover that you're not sure what to pray? In Matthew 6, Jesus gave us The Lord’s Prayer. It’s a great blueprint for prayer, but if we’re being honest with ourselves, it can sometimes start to feel a little stale. Today we present you with an audio version of Steve’s ebook, When You Pray: Ending Uncertainty in Prayer. In this book, Steve gives us a line-by-line illumination of this very powerful prayer model, and then provides us with an actual example of how he might pray. To receive a written version of this book, you can find it at impactnations.com/when-you-pray.

1-33 Jesus Does It For Us (Q&A with Brad Jersak)
20/12/2018 Duração: 01h12minIn this final episode of the season we are discussing the last chapters of John’s gospel with our friend, Brad Jersak. During the episode, Brad references an essay by Bob Ekblad. That essay can be found in a book called Stricken By God? Steve suggests adding a translation of the Septuagint to your collection of Bibles. His favorite is The Orthodox Study Bible. This year Impact Nations has provided clean water for over 20,000 people. We have led Journeys of Compassion to seven different nations where thousands of people have responded to the gospel and dozens of churches were planted. Nearly one hundred people have received our small business training. Women have been rescued from a life of forced prostitution, while others have been freed from prison or a life on the streets. Now, that may sound like we’re tooting our own horn, but actually, you donors are the ones who should be taking a victory lap. People from all over the world have given their time, money, talents, and resources to make all of this happen.

Steve addresses these questions and more in this look at the final chapters of John’s gospel. This week’s episode is brought to you by our Journey to the Philippines. On March 10th, our team will travel to Eastern Samar, one of the poorest provinces in the Philippines. This region is routinely hit by devastating typhoons which leads to the spread of water-borne illnesses and a general sense of hopelessness. You could be the one to bring hope. On this Journey, you will see God work in ways that you never imagined. The blind will see, the deaf will hear, and hundreds will respond to the gospel. You will get to see the joy on a mother’s face as you deliver a water filter that may well rescue her child’s life. If you’re a regular listener, you’ve heard me talking about Journeys of Compassion all year long. If you haven’t yet join

In the past I have told you about our Skills and Business training programs. We are really passionate about helping the poor become self-sufficient. But sometimes, before we can get people trained, we have to simply rescue them from a dangerous situation. That’s why one section of our Christmas catalog is simply titled, “Rescue a Life”. In Uganda we are working with partners to rescue pregnant teens from the streets of Kampala or from abusive homes. They are placed in a safe shelter where they receive the care and attention that they and their unborn children so desperately need. Through this year’s catalog, you get to participa

1-26 John Jumps Around
01/11/2018 Duração: 59minWhy do we act surprised when we have conflict with the world? What’s the secret to doing the works of God? Why did Jesus have to leave the earth? Steve discusses these questions and more as he looks at John chapter 15 verse 18 through the end of chapter 16.This week’s episode is brought to you by our latest effort to free women from a life of the streets. A couple of weeks ago, Impact Nations brought a team of women to Kenya, where in one night they helped rescue 78 women from a life of forced prostitution. Along with our partner, Mike Brawan, we have already found housing and support for 53 of those women. We need your help to get funding for the remaining 25. For only $100, you can provide two months worth of safe housing, food, counseling, business training, and a small loan to help a woman get her own business started. Will you help us? We’ve started a crowdfunding page at www.impactnations.com/kenya. Imagine the difference $100 could make.
