This week on The Colin and Samir Podcast we talk about realizing our dream of making a movie. We’ve had this dream for a while and we’ve talked about it quite a bit, we’ve always wanted to make a documentary, screen it in front of people and then have millions of people watch it….and all of that happened, within a week.  Here's the link to the film: https://youtu.be/8cvhwquPqJ0 On this episode we talk about how it happened, how we felt during the process and how it feels now to reflect back on realizing a dream of ours. Alright so this episodes opens up in Colins apartment as we reflect on making our first movie.  We're incredibly grateful to the boys from Yes Theory, everyone who came to the premiere and to everyone who has watched the film so far - we are so excited about the response and can’t wait to make our next film.  Some big takeaways from this experience - be present in the moment, a lot of times if you put your mind to It, your dreams will come true - but not exactly how you thought they would, or

Houston tells us his story and we talk about the concept of love and kindness. He’s a great storyteller and he ends this podcast on one of the more powerful stories I’ve heard from him. We also have some surprise gu

  • We never thought this day would come

    04/02/2019 Duração: 40min

This week on the Colin and Samir podcast we talk about a day that we never expected would come. We recorded this episode on Colin’s 30th birthday. Colin and I met when we were 22 and have been working together ever since. Our twenties were filled with experimentation, successes, failures and a lot of adventures along the way. On this episode, we reflect on the past 10 years, the work we’ve done together and the decisions that defined the decade for Colin.  There were a few unexpected moments in the episode - we had a brief weather interruption and a phone call from Colin's mom that we recorded, and decided to include an abridged version towards the end of the episode.  Enjoy our conversation and sign up for our newsletter at Colinandsamir.com

On this episode of The Colin and Samir Podcast, we take a look back at the past year of our lives…and this has been a year of a lot of ups and downs. Colin and I both wrote down some amazing moments from the year prior to the podcast and I think we both expected this episode to be filled with a lot of fun stories about those memories, and we absolutely touch of a lot of those, but we also dive into the uncertainty we felt during the year. The conversation takes some twists and turns that we didn’t know it was going to take, but I guess that’s fitting because it is similar to the way our year went...filled with unexpected twists and turns.  So if you’ve been following us all year or if you’re just starting to tune in, I think you’ll really enjoy this reflection into the past year of our lives and our careers.

He graduated from UCLA law school and ended up becoming a lawyer at a very prestigious firm, but once he got there, he started questioning if it was really how he wanted to spend his time - which led him to find very powerful creativity inside of himself.   Check out Sahils book at www.sahilchaudry.com Check out Ragaman: https://www.theragaman.com/ Check out Raga: https://shopraga.com/

    19/11/2018 Duração: 47min

This week Colin and I talk about a recent experience that turned out to be one of the most nerve-wracking experiences we’ve had in a while. It all revolves around a pitch for our show The Breakdown - and we’ll get into more specifics about the opportunity and the experience in the episode itself. This podcast recording was actually the first time Colin and I talked about the experience and it led to a lot of interesting topics in our conversation. We talk about how each of us felt before, during and after the pitch experience, we talk about the concept of comparison and imposter syndrome and we even talk about morning routines and how we each try and set ourselves us for success in the mornings. This is probably one of our most revealing podcasts - I think even we were surprised about where the conversation went.
