Setting the example of faith.

The apostle John tells us in 1 John 4:19, “We love because, He first loved us.” So in order to really love people we have to be good receivers of love. But how do we do that? What does it look like to allow the love of God to flow through us, so that we are actually loving people from God’s love rather then a manufactured love that comes from our broken selves?

Paul challenges his young protege Timothy to train himself in godliness and to set an example with his conduct. Paul understood that as a leader you will influence others by the way you live your life. Your life will make an impact one way or another. So how is your life impacting those around you? join us as we discover what it looks like to set a godly example in the spheres of influence that God has placed us.

Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” If that is true it is time to step up and evaluate what kind of influence our words are having. Are they bringing life or death?

When you evaluate your life and think about where you work, where you go to school, your relationships with co-workers, classmates, or friends, are you more prone to be a thermometer who conforms to what is happening around you or are you thermostat who sets not just an example, but a Christ-Like example?

There is no situation too far gone for God.

Will you accept or reject Jesus invitation of rest?

Does the noise of this season drive you towards or away from people?

Where is the noise in your life keeping you from worship?

What future are you sacrificing so that you can experience the immediate?

Learning patience is not just about what you will get at the end of the wait. Learning patience is about what you will become as you wait.
