The title of this next original guitar riff is inspired by Breaking Bad, my favorite show EVER. This riff is begging for drums, and I'm also hearing some horns too. This next original riff is suuuuper old, from 2008. I remember writing it in my college dorm room late at night freshman year. I've always liked the Dorian touch - makes the riff look blue. What do you think about this idea? Not set on the lyrics at all - those were written on the spot, but I do like the general vibe of having these big voices come in. I like the bass riff too! This riff is called "Nox", meaning "night" in Latin. I'm picturing a forest here - with haunting feedback sounds in the background. Definitely needs some acoustic guitar and bass/drums. For now, I just have this original acoustic riff repeating itself. It needs some sort of B section to compliment it. I also think some groovy drums will really bring it to life. This Riff#16 is interesting because the capo is on the 11th, only on strings D to the high E. Completely changes up the fretboard! I wrote this one back in November 2016. It's got some potential to be pretty powerful. What do you think of jaggedness? What could you add to it? This song idea has some potential, just need to tie up the loose ends. What do you think of the lyrics, and the B section? Does it compliment the A section well? I also think I'm playing it a little too fast. Should be slowed down a bit. For the B section, I'm definitely picturing some intense percussion, and maybe a clean electric guitar line.
