28: Listening | Being a Good Listener is a Learned Skill
30/10/2018 Duração: 35minWe talk about good ways to communicate often but I feel like we don't give enough focus to listening. Being a good listener is not commonly a natural trait one has. We tend to be natural talkers, not listeners. So I give you 3 things to think about when you are listening to someone. I also share with you a TED Talk that is awesome. It is by Celeste Headlee and is called 10 Ways to Have Better Conversation. 23/10/2018 Duração: 34minThis is a must listen to ladies! Jennifer continues our conversation and we spend this entire podcast talking about intimacy in marriage. Why it is important. Why women have the capability of having a deeper, greater capacity to feel pleasure than men. A whole woman is integrated with her sexuality, what does this mean and what does it look like? Husband and wife are equals who have the capacity to enrich one another's lives. Sex is choice, treat it with care. We need to be more open about teaching healthy sexuality. How to get past the embarrassment of feeling equal in the realm of intimacy. The best part of life! A rich source of freedom and joy. I learned so much from visiting with her. She is amazing and has such powerful insights. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/trina-glines/support

21: Good marriage? | Why You Should Keep Working On It!
10/09/2018 Duração: 46minFirst, we should never wait for our marriage to start struggling before we start to work on it! And I don't believe we can afford to just wing it anymore. It is really quite amazing how simple new knowledge can enhance our lives. It doesn't take that much time, but it does take us choosing to be intentional. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/trina-glines/support

17: Geoff Steurer, LMFT | Creating a Secure Bond
13/08/2018 Duração: 38minGeoff Steurer is trained in EFT couples therapy. (Emotional Focused Therapy) This therapy is based on Dr. Sue Johnson's research. Every individual has their own attachment style which is influenced by their upbringing. Geoff gives a short explanation of these attachments styles, but then we move right into how we can choose to create a secure bond with our spouse. A secure attachment style is ideal. And if we do not have a secure attachment style we can actually work towards it. We do not have to be a victim of our blueprints! We can learn an emotionally healthier way of being which will help us become more secure! A secure bond is based on the answer to this question, "Are you there for me?". The answer must be yes to have a secure bond. Geoff explains the details of this and more! 13: Becoming a Whole Woman | Connecting to Your Sexual Being
16/07/2018 Duração: 33minSexual intimacy is a big part of marriage, but very few of us are set up for success in this area. We often struggle to talk about the positive aspects of sex. Did you know that we all are sexual beings? This is not a negative or bad thing. But because society has perverted what sex really is, we struggle to find a healthy balance. It is imperative for women to learn and understand that they are a sexual being and God made them that way. We are meant as husband and wife to enjoy intimacy within the bonds of marriage. But in order to do this we need to be connected to our sexual being. This week I discuss the importance of connecting to our sexual being in preparation of sharing my interview with Laura M. Brothers, LMFT Sex Therapist, the next two weeks. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/trina-glines/support

12: Female Exec Bank VP | The Power in Being True to Yourself
09/07/2018 Duração: 23minI was interested in Crystal's story when I heard as she worked her way up in the cooperate world, she started out thinking she needed to be someone other than her authentic self. Being in the banking world she felt she needed to come across more masculine in her dress and interactions. As she progressed in her career and became a mom she recognized the power in being true to herself. I believe this is a powerful lesson for women to learn. I do connect it to the feminine power we have within ourselves. It is nothing to be ashamed of or hide. The world needs amazing women! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/trina-glines/support
