Do we lack spaces for traditional Irish music?

That is according to Ciarán Ó Maonaigh, director of new Brendan Gleeson film ‘Farewell to Hughes’ - a documentary on the Dublin, Smithfield pub, closed in 2021 that was considered a mecca for trad music. He said: “One thing Dublin may be lacking is those spaces for people to go for tunes and a get together.
