Riyadh Khalaf, is a youtuber, journalist, radio host, and queer activist from London England, who just partnered up with Youtube’s Creators for Change program to capture the first ever pride march in Swaziland in a documentary called Fight for Pride. Craig Pomranz has graced the NYC Jazz and Nightclub scene for decades with his beautiful voice, and has recently found a new way to share his love of the arts, by writing a children’s book, inspired by personal experiences with his god-son. Made By Raffi tells the story of a young boy who just doesn’t seem to fit in with the rough play at school, and instead of trying to fit in, he discovers a love for knitting. A celebration of difference, acceptance, and love, Made by Raffi is something we wish all kids get the opportunity to read.

What was it really like being gay before the AIDS crisis? OUT the 1-man play is back on stage, between April 24 and May 5th at the Buddies and Bad Times Theater in Downtown Toronto! It’s been creatively crafted by director Clinton Walker, using real life events from Greg Campbells personal experience, OUT is set in Montreal in 1977, at the height of the disco era. Glen is 17 years-old and decides to kick open the closet door. While keeping it secret from his parents, he celebrates his new gay identity by going to discos, joining a Gay Youth Group, and investigating several bedrooms. With his two best friends, he goes to New York City for the Gay Pride March, where their lives are changed forever. This is a tour tour-de-force performance by Dora-nominated actor Greg Campbell who brings twenty-five characters to life in this hilariously moving story.

Justin sits down with Ava Stowe in California, to talk about what’s it’s been like to come out as a lesbian at the young age of 11. She is then joined by her mother Julie who also shares some insight about raising a daughter through very formative years, while also navigating her sexual orientation.
