Deardra Shuler interviews LJ Waiters lead singer of the Legendary Intruders and Lee Bradley, owner of the Legendary Intruders as well as a tenor in the group.  Other members are Holland McKenzie (Baritone) and Jubar Jones (tenor). The Legendary Intruders are an off-shoot of the original  Intruders with Fred Daughtery bringing in his cousin Lee Bradley and then from there the second group branched off into the Legendary Intruders.  They continue to sing "Together," "I'll Always Love My Mama" and "I Wanna Know Your Name." LJ is the third cousin of James Brown, the nephew of Bill Pinkney of The Drifters and recently learned he is related to Gladys Knight.  Little Johnny Waiters (LJ) opened shows for Solomon Burke, Ohio Players, Clarence Carter, Junior Walker and the All Stars, Freddie Scott, Millie Jackson, Shirley and the Shirelles, Lloyd Price, etc.   The Legendary Intruders shared the stage with The Stylistics, Cuba Gooding, The Delfonics, Peaches and Herb, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, The Temptations

Host Deardra Shuler interviews actress Brenda Braxton and Playwright/Composer/Lyricist Donna Moore who has been developing Cougar The Musical for eight years. Ms. Moore started her career at age 11 when she was cast in the PBS, TV show, ZOOM, where she is the only Zoomer to have also been a contributing writer. At age nine, two years prior to being on the show, she wrote a play called ‘Ms Truitt’ which aired on the pilot of the Emmy award-winning series. (Time flies- 40th ZOOM reunion is this Aug in Boston). A graduate of NYU Drama (TSOA), Moore is currently writing, “I Need a Lawyer or a Hitman”. Brenda Braxton starred as Velma Kelly opposite Usher in Broadway’s hit musical Chicago. Prior to that, she was featured on Broadway in the musical revueSmokey Joe’s Cafe, that earned her a 1995 Tony Award nomination, the NAACP Theater Award, the city of Chicago’s Jefferson Award and a Grammy Award for Best Cast Album. Aunt Jewel got a head start on Disney's The Odd Life of Timothy Green, due in theatres near you on Aug 15th. Bedtime Stories went to an advanced screening of the movie, "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," about a couple who desperately want children of their own.  They love children so much they prayed and prayed that God would send them a baby, and finally their dream came true.  Aunt Jewel recommends the movie as a charming past time for both parents and children to see together. Deardra Shuler will interview Kene Holliday who came to prominence when he appeared in "Carter Country" co-starring as Sgt Curtis Baker.  He went on to play the private investigator, Tyler Hudson, opposite Andy Griffith on the popular show "Matlock" which ran on both NBC and ABC. Engaged in sports in high school, Holliday went on to play collegiate football at the University of Maryland at College Park. While there, he discovered the Drama Dept. and distinguished himself as the first African American to star in lead roles at the university. Kene was a founding member of Folger Theater Group for 3 years. Also a founding member of the D.C. Black Repertory Company.
