Nick America #7: Bobby Lee
30/05/2017 Duração: 01h26minI went over to Bobby Lee's house the other day and we sat down and talked about Korean American families, the stereotypes and how he and his family have shattered just about all of them. Conversations like this are great because if you've ever felt like an outsider you know there are people out there like you. Bobby has embraced what makes him a unique lunatic he is and found great success as a comedian and actor for the last 20 years and shows no signs of slowing down. This was one of the funniest most bizarre podcasts I've done so far and I hope you enjoy it. For more unique and bizarre Bobby Lee related things listen to his podcast Tiger Belly available everywhere podcasts are found. ALSO: Subscribe to Nick America on iTunes and rate and review the show. Every little bit helps. Thanks and see you next week.

Nick America #6 Jameela Jamil
23/05/2017 Duração: 01h42minI went to Jameela Jamil's new home in Los Angeles and we had a nice conversation about life in the U.S and what growing up an Indian/Pakistani woman in the U.K was like. Jameela found a lot of success in broadcasting in England. I however met her in America in the midst of a nervous breakdown that had her considering suicide. She realized she needed something new, something better. Throughout our conversation it became apparent she found it. Watch Jameela on NBCs The Good Place and follow her on Twitter (@jameelajamil) and Instagram (@jameelajamilofficial). ***REMEMBER*** Subscribe to Nick America and rate and review the show. Thank you!!

16/05/2017 Duração: 02h10minA comedian, writer for the 2017 White House Correspondence Dinner, former lawyer, and Dallas native Raj Desai came over and we got into growing up one of the very few Indians in Texas, how it still shocks him to this day to see an Indian in TV or film and the fact that it was easier to go to law school, pass the bar and practice law for a while than tell his parents he wanted to be a comedian instead. All that and more. Follow Raj on Twitter at: @rajdesai and Tumblr where you can read all his hilarious writing: rajdesai.tumblr.com Subscribe, rate and review Nick America on iTunes. Every bit helps! Nick America #4: Jesus Trejo
09/05/2017 Duração: 02h13minJesus Trejo is a funny, honest and thoughtful dude. I sat down with him and talked about our southern California childhoods and how we came to grow up here. Jesus' parents struggled to get to America and have worked their entire lives to live here and raise a family. Jesus is reminded of that every day as he helps out with the family business while doing comedy full time and is always asking his parents for stories about their lives and he shares a few of them here including how his mom and dad met on the 'circuit.' We bonded over helping our parents with translation issues growing up and how we hated bringing ethnic foods to school. There's so much more but you'll have to listen. Check Jesus out at JesusTrejo.com and remember to subscribe, rate and review the podcast on iTunes. Every bit helps. See you next week!
