The Apostle Paul had to address the problem of immaturity, arrogance and disunity in the Corinthians church. And he have them an alternate perspective that they were to take on so that the outcome would be unity and spiritual maturity. The perspective he gave in this chapter summed up well by one author as: *The Church is God’s family —the goal is maturity (v1-4) *The Church is God’s field —the goal is fruitfulness (v5-9) *The Church is God’s building —the goal is quality (v9-23) Paul wanted them to understand that: *Ministers are servants through whom You believed- V5 *God is the source of growth- V6-7 *God assigns the ministers/ servants -V5 *The minsters/servants are one, they are working together -V8 *God rewards faithful servants. V12-14
