What is the motivation that drives those who are faithful and fruitful in ministry? Christians need all the healthy encouragement and motivation that they can get to fuel them towards faithfulness. And the Apostle Paul explained what it was that motivated him in his ministry in 2 Corinthians chapter 5. In this chapter he not only explained the what of his gospel-centered ministry but also the why behind what he was doing. If you don't get a biblical why that motivates you in ministry then you may be prone to lose heart doing what you are doing in ministry or avert the missional aspect of ministry.

The Apostle Paul had an eternal and spiritual perspective that helped encourage him to stay faithful in ministry and to the mission God had called him to. In 2 Corinthians chapter 4 Paul shared some of the reasons why he did not "lose heart" or give up in ministry.

God's glory was displayed through Christ raising the dead and His sympathetic response to those grieving, so that we might get glimpse of glory and believe in Jesus. Jesus is sympathetic, Jesus is sovereign and Jesus is the source of life!

Jesus calls His followers to carry the torch of His ministry. In this powerful sermon Pastor Mike Ward explains the nature of incarnational ministry.
