This Damn World

Nobody puts Baby in an uncomfortable situation. Doula Sophi Scarnewman is standing up for newborns and the beautiful women who bring them into the world. On top of being pregnant, mothers have to worry about the rising number of C-sections, the shocking number of deaths in childbirth, bully doctors, complications- the list goes on and on. But luckily, there are doulas to help light the way.

Back in my day, we played Pokemon INSIDE! We sat around in our blow-up furniture drinking Tang, covering our notebooks with Lisa Frank stickers and showing off our Beanie Baby collections and hard-earned Tamagotchis. Our bleached tips were the shit! And don't even get us started on our our Walkmans, Polly Pockets, and Livestrong bracelets. We will live like this forever!

While 2016 has been a seriously shitty year for losing our favorites- R.I.P Prince, Bowie, Alan Rickman, Muhammad Ali, and so many more- all of these lives have touched ours in some way. Throw the world a big ole fist unicorn. TDW introduces Rage Yoga, the new practice of becoming zen as fuck. We talk with creator Lindsay Istace about her past as a contortionist and how she's transforming traditional yoga from 'ommm' to 'oh, fuck yeah.'  

Nobody likes going through a breakup. Comedian Gabby Poccia joins TDW for talks about past relationships, personal lessons learned, the psych of breakups, soulmates, and the actual addictive qualities of love.  

Putting the 'tic, tic, tic' back in politics. As the election for President of the United States nears, TDW talks thoughts on the government of today. Donald Trump’s hate speech, Hillary Clinton’s attempt to reach the mainstream through Broad City, KKK protests, Louis CK's imploring essay, and how history seems to be repeating itself.
