On this week’s episode: Comedian Barry Dodds popped by for a surprise visit! 'Timewasters' star Daniel Lawrence Taylor discussed the second series of the award-winning time-travelling comedy show. He also won Ian’s singing competition… Director Rikki Beadle-Blair and writer Tom Wright shared their excitement for their latest play ‘Undetectable’. While music legend Paul Young came on the show ahead of his UK tour ’35 Years of No Parlez’.

On this week’s episode: Before he heads on his tour ‘The Nat King Cole Songbook Live’, singer Andy Abraham told Ian what it was like to be on the X Factor and what the future holds for him. Caroline Sheen shared her experience in starring in the iconic ‘9 to 5 the Musical’, what it was like to meet the legendary Dolly Parton and the pressure in playing the role as ‘Mary Poppins’ during the UK and US tour.

On this week’s episode: TV presenter Alix Fox discussed her involvement with fast food chain LEON and gave us tips on how to have the perfect dinner date. BBC1’s The One Show reporter and former Blue’s Clues star Kevin Duala opened up about his established television career. While comedian Nick Revell discussed his ‘Broken Dream Catcher’ comedy tour.

On this week’s episode: a member of boyband Union J, a film director, and a comic book creator! Rees Finlay was first in the studio to talk about his new comic, shortly followed by Jaymi Hensley, member of Union J and soon to be star of Joseph the Musical. Ian spoke to Jaymi about life in a boyband as well as the bands appearance in Kick-Ass 2. Finally, director Toby MacDonald was in the studio to talk about his new film ‘Old Boys’!

Ian doesn’t like David Essex’s cover of the Ghostbusters theme and Natalie doesn’t have enough zinc is just two things we learnt on this week’s show! Joining Ian in the studio was actor Danny Sapani, who was discussing the new season of Harlots, and Russell Hicks who was talking all about his new livestreamed show.

This week Ian and Producer Nat argued over Channel 5, discussed the problems with The Quiet Place (warning: spoilers!) and Nat had back problems which Ian tried to fix. Joining them in the studio was former Coronation Street actress Wendi Peters, who discussed life after the soap and some of her most ridiculous stories, and magician Ryan Tricks, who was in to talk about his new series on 5Star. Also, he does some magic and works out Nat’s pin number.

Joining Ian in the studio this week was Call The Midwife (of course!) actress Laura Main, who, as well as talking about the new series, may have accidentally signed herself up for a walking tour of the set. Also joining Ian and Nat was Ben Bidwell, part of The Naked Professors duo, a new mental health podcast. A surprise addition to the bill, Paul Wellens was on the phone to talk about Rugby League.

Ian and Nat launched a new feature ‘reminisce’, where they look back at someone from their past. It probably won’t last very long. Joining Ian in the studio was filmmaker Nicole Albarelli and actor Freddie Thorp from new independent film To Dream, who told us how the film was created, going on holiday with Tim Burton, and why Johnny Depp thinks he’s a pirate. Also on the show was actress Cara Horgan ahead of her appearance in Channel 4’s ‘Traitors’; Ian and Cara later compared their experiences having prosthetics applied.

Ian’s first show of the year has arrived (eventually!). Joining him on his glorious start to 2019 is actor Tom Brittney, who stars in the brand new series of ITV’s Grantchester. Whilst on the show, he also fired intern Will, who, to be fair, had it coming. Also on the show was comedian Sofie Hagen, in to talk about her new book and tour, and about the time she said ‘cunt’ live on a national broadcaster. Fun times!

It's Christmas! Joining Ian for the final show of the year (and the most festive) was some of our favourite guests from 2018, including The Chief from Channel 4's Hunted, Peter Bleksley, thespian and Queen of Ian's heart Harriet Thorpe, frontman of Towers of London Donny Tourette and Dan Schreiber and James Harkin from the No Such Thing As A Fish podcast! What a show! Also, intern Will gets feedback on his university paper about working at FUBAR.

Joining Ian on what turned out to be quite a hectic show was award winning international cabaret and performance artist Gingzilla, who was speaking ahead of her Christmas show in London. Also on the show was astronomer Nicolas Aujula who had a very polite discussion with Ian about the stars, the afterlife, and more. Also on the show was Connor Wallace, who shared a story about a man masturbating on a train, and Barry Dodds, who was rejected from calling up Jeremy Vine on the TV.

Ian and producer Nat were feeling a little bit downcast, and were joined in the studio by comedian Sara Barron and writer Lauren Bravo who promptly cheered them up. Nat conducted the interview with Sara and there were many discussions over the correct way to pronounce Sara/Sarah/etc, as well as talking about her show coming to the Soho Theatre in the new year. Lauren Bravo was in to talk about her new book all about the Spice Girls, which Ian loved.

This week Ian was ‘ill’ and therefore refused to fight guest Jason Fox on medical grounds (it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Jason spent years as a marine). Jason was in to talk about his new book Battle Scars, and also in the studio with a new book to talk about was TV historian Dan Snow, who worked out through his book that Natalie’s birthday is on a day of a sacred dance. Finally, actor Ronan Raftery was in the studio to speculate about his role in a Boyzone movie, and talk about his actual part in Mortal Engines.

On this week’s show Ian and Nat discussed weird email Nat has been receiving, as well as contemplating changes to the timing of the show. On the guest front, Richard Gadd and Jess Brittain, actor and writer of BBC Three’s ‘Clique’ were first in the studio talking all about the second series of the show, followed by producer and actor TJ Herbert who discussed ‘Bromley Boys’

This week on Ian’s show we started to look forward to Christmas and was joined by Kat B in the studio, who is starring in the Hackney Empire’s Aladdin this year! Second up was Brian Gittins, who was on the phone to discuss his campaign against the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, and how he argues he should have won the award. Finally, YouTuber TomSka was in the studio to discuss his new Christmas book and was interviewed by intern Will, who is a huge fan.

Joining Ian this week was acclaimed author Anthony Horowitz, who discussed his career to date, his new book, and his role in creating the TV adaption of Midsomer Murders, proving Nat right and Ian wrong in the process. Hannah Spearritt was on the show this week to talk about I, Dog, which isn’t quite what Ian and the team from the No Such Thing As A Fish podcast thought it was after their discussion a few weeks ago. Finally, actor Matt Corner was in the studio to talk all about Fiddler On The Roof. Ian also sang some songs from it, and tried to work out with Nat whether the Black Eyed Peas should rename one of their biggest hits.

Ian was absolutely delighted to welcome Vicki Michelle in the studio, who spoke all about life during and after ‘Allo ‘Allo, and also quite a lot about coincidences and life after death, which obviously went down well with Ian. Also in the studio was actor Douglas Booth to talk about his new play A Guide For The Homesick, and talked all about his previous film roles including how much of a gent Boy George is!

Things we learnt on this weeks show: lots of things have happened, happening over a long period of time, happening all the time, and they never stop happening. Also, magic is fake. James Harkin and Dan Schreiber from No Such Thing As A Fish were Ian’s first guests in the studio to talk about their new book, and they discussed a whole range of issues from beating Ian at an awards ceremony to pretending to be former S Club member Hannah Spearritt. Following James and Dan was magician Tom Brace, who was in the studio to discuss a couple of upcoming shows.

Surprise! Ian bumped into Richard Herring at Kings Cross station (as you do) and decided to pop in for the first half an hour of the show! Following Richard was actor Connor Swindells who joined Ian and Nat to discuss his new film VS. Finally, winner of Channel 4’s The Circle and friend of FUBAR Alex Holbern popped by to talk about winning the competition. Also on the show Daniel from Australia decided to ring in, to much confusion, and Nat read out a letter from a fan.

This week actor Matthew Floyd Jones was the first guest to join Ian in the studio ahead of his tour of Richard Carpenter Is Close To You, followed by film producer Arabella Burfitt-Dons, who joined the gang to talk about her new film, aptly named ‘F.U.B.A.R’. Producer Nat suggested Arabella should screen her film in the Prince Charles Theatre, before uttering the now immortal words ‘pop it in an Odeon’.
