Craig Lowndes won Bathurst, and he also won the ‘best caravan in the land’ prize as well! Yes, he’s got a caravan and yes, that ties in extremely well with the fact that he’s retiring. Plus the Gold Coast 600 kicks off this week so he gave us the lowdown on that. A girl in China fell into an aquarium when she decided to take a shortcut…that aquarium was full of sharks. She got out of there, but turns out shortcuts aren’t always the best idea. For example, don’t try and take the shortcut up to your unit via jumping the retaining wall above the underground carpark. Ouch. We all know Donald Trump is no gentleman – he didn’t even give his wife an umbrella to keep her out of the rain. Turns out there’s some not-quite-gentlemen in Perth too, like Emily’s husband who took the single business class upgrade on the way to the UK…they were going to her fathers funeral. You may have heard something about some royals being in the country - and one gorgeous old lady who checked herself out of hospital just to meet Prince Harry again. Bless. Turns out loads of people have checked themselves out of hospital, and for some not-so-ideal reasons, like getting a tattoo and making a footy game. Bad idea, guys. Speaking of footy, the trade period ends today and Fox News’ Julian DeStoop called through to go over what’s likely to happen in the final hours. He also called for a shorter timeframe because this trade period has last FOR EVER. And back to the royals, just in case you were getting antsy. The famous McManus - Rove- got to meet Harry & Meghan yesterday in Sydney! There is always that one job at your workplace that no one likes to do, poor apprentice Mitch called through, let’s just say it’s a little stinky on the nose! There is another Royal Baby coming we basically we couldn’t care less BUT our Producers are beside themselves with excitement, to the point they feel like they are part of the Royal Family, the countdown has officially begun! Some Perth fisherman thought their boat had been side-swiped by another dinghy. Turns out it was a 5 metre great white shark! We heard from others who didn’t quite realise the danger they were in – including a whale coming for a look at Paul’s little boat, and Aaron unwillingly helping out a murderer. Donna Hay called in to chat about her beautiful new book Modern Baking – and of course things went south when Nathan proclaimed that no man would ever garnish a cake with flowers. We heard from plenty of men with baking and decorating skills to boot. Donna was right! Nathan was wrong. And on Friday, the guys heard from Stu who claimed to be a cat breeder – except they discovered he just kind of a cat owner, because the cats haven’t actually bred yet! We wanted some stories like Stu’s - with added GST…and we got them! We could not believe that someone could or would steal the bronze plaque from the top of the iconic DNA Tower at Kings Park! Who even does that? We wanted to know what random thing have you had stolen? The NBL season kicked off last night and the Wildcats walked away with a win against Adelaide! Greg Hire joined us not to talk about last night’s game but to talk about the team’s experience in America recently, it’s pretty impressive! We love eggs (in particular, poached, if you were wondering) so to celebrate World Egg Day we caught up with egg ambassador Manu Feildel. A couple got drunk and ended up buying a hotel, so we had a chat about why alcohol and money don’t mix. We heard from Shaan who was hit with a big bill at the end of the night, David who lost 5K and Rueben who met a very expensive friend in France.  Neroli Meadows called us to discuss how bad the Australian Cricket team have been performing. Champion Shane Gould is the sole Survivor for 2018! She talked us through the final challenge... and her extremely hands-on reunion with her husband... don’t worry we didn’t go into detail. A Perth policeman copped a samurai sword attack – and was lucky not to lose his arm thanks to a metal screw preventing it slicing through! Yikes. We heard from Alex who’s acrylic nail prevented a finger loss, and Lisa who’s sister was saved by a cabbage patch doll! Yesterday, Norm from The Block told us that he met his partner Jess in the gutter outside a nightclub! We heard more stories about the unglamorous ways people have met their partners – including almost crashing a road train into them. Classy. Hamish Hastie wrote an article for WAToday about his complete disdain for Jacarandas – they’re messy, they attract too many bees, the list goes on. Kim from Mandurah also has disdain for something - fireworks. And Andy Lee has a new book for kids! Seriously, Don’t Open this Book. That the name of it. But don’t open it. We found him! He’s alive! After what must have been a crazy but awesome week of celebrating hard, our very own West Coast Eagles Premiership player, Chris Masten,called in to tell us what the life-changing win meant for him. And he talked about his hangover, cause, hey, it’s a big one! Brittany and Sophie were completely blindsided on the Bachelor last night when Nick ‘The Honeybadger’ Cummins didn’t actually choose either of them as his winner. He just kind of bailed, too. Brittany called in to explain how she’s been feeling while this whole show has aired – we reckon she left with dignity and she looked hot in the dress, so whatever, Nick. And over in the Philippines a guy traumatised his girlfriend by faking a fatal motorbike accident – and then rolling over and proposing to her. We heard from others with traumatic but funny stories – including Anthony who managed to traumatise his mother-in-law. Newsreader Ellie reckons every single shop that sells groceries should be referred to as a supermarket. She won’t budge, even though the guys think she’s completely wrong. Plenty of other petty arguments arose, and it came to a head with a heated discussion about what constitutes as a jacket and what is a jumper. The big things, guys. Surprise walkout on the Bachelor last night – our very own Perth girl Brooke! She says Nick couldn’t give her a straight answer about his thoughts on a future together, so she wasn’t gonna hang around for that. You go, girl. And the wind yesterday got the better of Nathan and Nat – Nathan almost got taken out by an inflatable pool and Nat got whacked in the face by her car door. Some absolute crackers from Vaughn who got some blowback when relieving himself, and Carol who ended up eating the remains of lovely old Ethel. Please be upstanding for the big rig – the Prime Minister of Australia (well, the latest one) the honourable ScoMo - Scott Morrison! He called through while he’s in Perth to spruik the plan for us to get our well-deserved GST, and to tell us his star sign. He’s a Taurus…don’t read into it. Shaun gave the guys a taste of Serena Williams’ singing ability – turns out it isn’t bad at all! Nathan was more excited for a tennis player than he’s ever been. And English comedian Bill Bailey told us about the time he was asked to be in the crematorium organists society, and also about the time he was the pianist accompanying a mind-reading dog.  If that doesn’t blow you away, make sure you listen to the end of this interview, where Shaun decides to ask a surprise question. We’re back!!! And apparently some sort of football game happened over the weekend?! Nat came in with her scarf on and her voice a tad croaky after heading over the Melbourne for the game - and watching the mighty West Coast take home the Premiership Cup! Brooke Satchwell understood Nat’s loss of voice – she told us about the time she lost her voice at a Bon Jovi concert! She’s also pretty pumped about her new TV show Mr Inbetween. Shaun smacked his face into the door over the break– but instead told everyone his surfboard smacked him cause it sounded cooler. We heard other stories about when you didn’t say what actually happened... including an accident with a shovel and a clothesline. And back to the footy once more…Nat stayed with her friend in Melbourne for the Grand Final – who just happens to live in the suburb of Collingwood, right behind enemy lines! Ahead of this weekend’s 2 massive AFL prelims - Fitzy dropped by the studio to chat footy, and show us a pretty awesome bit of memorabilia involving an Eagles legend. Plus he gave Shaun some parenting advice. On the Demons side we had Titus O’Reilly call in – he can’t believe they’ve finally made a prelim after all these years, and he spoke about his superstitions in the lead-up to the game. And on the Eagles side, number one ticketholder and our favourite politician (sorry Mark McGowan) Julie Bishop came in donning a blue & gold scarf! She’s right behind the boys, and also spoke about the overwhelming support she’s received since the leadership spill and her move to the backbench. Airtasker apparently has a high number of people paying for spider removal. We heard from others who have paid people to do things for them, including Claire who pays her young son to scare birds away from her because she doesn’t like them. Jonathan Brown told us about some of the tickets for the Richmond v Collingwood game selling for twenty grand over in Melbourne! He also reckons the Eagles will get up on the weekend, even though some poor Demons fans are flying over to Perth via Singapore. Yesterday Ross thought he’d be a good person and bought Shaun a pile of toasted sandwiches to give to the team after he was lambasted for his crap Breakfast Club. But his good deed backfired when Shaun told him he’s organised surprise Mexican food anyway! We heard more stories about good deeds backfiring – and we’re still laughing. And Masto is ready to go for Saturday’s clash with the Demons – and it seems the whole city is behind the Eagles too! He also showed us where his Coffee Cheater 10K trophy is on display – at
