At 6.15 Simon Jack heard from correspondants in Northern Ireland & Scotland who explained the problems that these markets faced. An hour later it was my turn to bring it all together. There's never enough time to discuss everything - we didn't touch on Funding For Lending, on new home starts, on Government schemes aimed at kick-starting the market or on the problems with sale volumes which are now half what they were in 2006 and 2007. Still, this is a start and Al seemed interested in what is happening.
