  • The Kerry Dixon Show - Stoke v Chelsea

    16/03/2017 Duração: 29min

Stamford Chidge joins Chelsea Legend Kerry Dixon to look back at the victory against Man Utd in the FA Cup and look ahead to Stoke away this Saturday. A great atmosphere and perhaps a more tense affair than it might have been against Utd in the FA Cup quarter-final last Monday. Kerry applauds yet another stunning performance by Kante and even Michael Oliver gets some praise for stopping Utd kicking Hazard out of the game. We now look forward to Spus in the semi-final although Kerry admits that drawing Arsenal or City might have been an easier proposition. With Lukaku appearing to want out of Everton, would Kerry like to see him back at Chelsea and what would this mean for Diego Costa? Also will Antonio Conte be backed in the transfer market this summer as we prepare to launch a challenge for more European silverware? Turning to Stoke, both Chidge and Kerry recognise that this is a tricky and potentially tough fixture for Chelsea - the players will need to be 'on-it' from the first whistle. If we win... &

  • 'Judas-Gate!' Chelsea FanCast #381

    15/03/2017 Duração: 02h08min

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver and Tony Glover to look back at the FA Cup quarter-final victory over Man Utd and ex-wife Jose Mourinho! On the show tonight we investigate Judas-Gate. Did Jose Mourinho deserve the abuse he got last night; was it really as widespread as the press made out and any way, isn’t it time for everyone to just move on? In part two we discuss Utd’s clear tactic to kick Hazard out of the game thankfully coming unstuck; poor finishing giving us too much stress; drool at Kante’s imperious performance again and look forward to the semi-final against Spurs at our second home not there’s. In part three, we’ve got a monster selection of emails from you plus news on the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust Jack Whitley crowdfunding campaign. In part four we have news about books by the Girl Who Likes Balls (aka Alex Churchill) and Football Factory author John King; the sad plight of a young autistic lad facing a football banning order who needs our support and a special...

  • The Kerry Dixon Show - Chelsea v Man Utd (FA Cup)

    09/03/2017 Duração: 23min

Stamford Chidge and Kerry Dixon chew the fat over the important win in the London derby against West Ham and look ahead to Monday night's FA Cup Quarter Final against Man Utd. Kerry praises Chelsea's controlled win against West Ham and another big 3 points edging us ever closer to the title. As you would expect from a former Chelsea No. 9 Kerry puts up a swift defence against the Costa knockers, in terms of his goals and overall contribution to the Chelsea cause. Looking ahead to the FA Cup Quarter Final against Man Utd, Kerry feels that Ibrahimovic will be a big miss for Utd, confesses he would never have had a 'man-bun' and thinks Conte will put out a strong side to ensure Chelsea have another trip to Wembley. But what is Kerry's score prediction? You'll have to listen and find out!  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Knees up Mother Brown! Chelsea FanCast #380

    07/03/2017 Duração: 02h02min

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Clayton Beerman and the 'Girl Who Likes Balls' - Alex Churchill to discuss last night's win against West Ham and to look forward to the FA Cup Quarter-Final against Man Utd next Monday. On the show tonight we discuss how combating the aerial threat led to another big 3 points with the pressure on. In part two we ask have rumours of Eden Hazard’s demise been exaggerated and why on earth are people giving Costa – who has now scored 17 premier league goals – stick? Something about unsuccessful touches apparently – probably more to do with keyboard warriors’ fumbling’s with women. In part three, we move the emails up a part because we have so many and they are absolutely fantastic this week. We’ve got emails from Paul Hay on chants; Roy Stennings on his incredible history supporting Chelsea; Ross Parke’s homage to the back three and Harrison Leggo pleading with the support to sing something other than Antonioooo. In part four we have a look ahead to next Monday’s...

  • Chelsea Supporters Trust SGM 25/02/2017

    05/03/2017 Duração: 01h27min

Chelsea Supporters' Trust held their second Special General Meeting of the season after the Swansea City match. The SGMs are a good chance to report back to the membership, in person on progress with the issues we are mandated to pursue and have a face to face dialogue with the members. Held in a venue new to us, The Lillie Langtry Pub we were well looked after and a decent turnout from the membership were updated on issues such as the Membership Survey and the move to a Temporary Stadium. In addition, board members reported back on initiatives such as 'Kick-Off Times'; the Stamford Bridge Redevelopment; work on improving the atmosphere at the Bridge; work with Supporters Direct, The Football Supporters Federation and with fellow Premier League Trusts and work with the Overseas Membership. Cliff Auger formerly announced our work towards the commemoration of 'Founder's Day' at the Brompton Cemetery and our continued work helping to clean up Chelsea related graves at the cemetery. After formal... &nbs

  • The Kerry Dixon Show - West Ham v Chelsea

    02/03/2017 Duração: 30min

Stamford Chidge and Chelsea Legend Kerry Dixon look back at Chelsea's win against Swansea last Saturday and look ahead to Monday night's London derby against West Ham. Cesc Fabregas takes the plaudits this week but Kerry is equally impressed with the form of Pedro and that Conte is forging his version of Chelsea in to a formidable team, all playing for each other and the manager. Unlike the bizarre rumours suggesting that Conte may leave for Inter Milan in the summer, Chidge and Kerry firmly believe that the attraction of managing Chelsea in the Champions' League and building a great Chelsea team over the next few years will be too strong. Looking ahead to West Ham on Monday, Kerry thinks that as with all local derbies it will be a tough match for Chelsea. Whilst Andy Carroll presents an aerial threat and could exploit an apparent weakness Chelsea has in defending headers, Cahill and Luiz need to step up to the challenge and deal with it. Either way, Kerry is confident that if Conte has the team 100%... &#

  • Return of the Mak! Chelsea FanCast #379

    27/02/2017 Duração: 01h54min

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Tony Glover and Joe Tweeds to look back at another big three points for Chelsea as the tick off the wins that will hopefully take them to the title! On the show tonight we ask with the timely return of cult hero Makalele on Saturday how fitting it is that his obvious successor, N’Golo Kante played such a blinder. But is Kante better than Makalele or are they just different? In part two we celebrate another important win; the return of Fabregas; applaud Costa and Pedro and give props to some unsung Chelsea heroes. In part three, we analyse the run in and look at potential banana skins or difficult games as we work out where we will find the 29 points Antonio Conte believes we need to win the title. And talking of unsung heroes we also look at why some of our most deserving players don’t yet have a song. In part four we have an email from John Power and a bit of a Q&A for our Mixlr listeners.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out informatio

  • The Kerry Dixon Show - Chelsea v Swansea

    23/02/2017 Duração: 26min

Stamford Chidge & Kerry Dixon look back at Chelsea's FA Cup win against Wolves and look forward to the quarter-final tie against Man Utd. We also preview the match against Swansea coming up on Saturday. Kerry is very happy to see Costa on the score sheet again and feels that it will bode well for the title run in over the next 13 games. Conversely with Eden Hazard suffering from a dip in form, Kerry believes that he has too much quality to dweel there too long. Looking ahead to the FA Cup quarter-final against Man Utd, whilst not the ideal draw, being at home and with the tie sandwiched between a home and away Europa League Cup tie for Utd, should give Chelsea a small advantage and makes us favourites. Whilst Swansea will be no push overs with former Chelsea assistant manager Paul Clement having dramatically turned their recent form around, Kerry expects Chelsea to turn them over by a good 2-3 goals. Of course, if we do then we'll continue to keep the pressure on our rivals, three of whom are not...

  • 'They Huffed & They Puffed' Chelsea FanCast #378

    21/02/2017 Duração: 01h42min

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver and ESPN's Chelsea correspondent, Liam Twomey to look back at Chelsea's victory over Wolves in the FA Cup. On the show tonight we ask why Chelsea were not hungry like the Wolves, do they not get how important the FA Cup is and what makes footballers sloppy? In part two we rename Pedro, ‘Pedro Osgood’ as the young Eli Wallach look-a-like kept up his record of scoring in every round in the Cup. Can he repeat the great Peter Osgood’s feat? And can Chelsea do the double…again? In part three, we discuss the next round where we host Man Utd and a certain former Manager. Will he park the bus or will we spank his botty…again! In part four we have some cracking emails from, appropriately, Kevin Costner and Luke Hatherley from Australia.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • The Kerry Dixon Show - Wolves v Chelsea

    17/02/2017 Duração: 26min

Kerry Dixon looks back at the match against Burnley last weekend and previews Saturday's FA Cup 5th round tie against old foes Wolves. Kerry discusses the merits of a hard fought draw against Burnley; questions how long Luiz can keep playing through injury and tells us why we shouldn't panic about Diego Costa's recent goal 'drought'. Looking ahead to the FA Cup tie against Wolves, Kerry predicts that this will be a proper old fashioned tie with the home side and their fans well up for it. Kerry believes that Conte will not take Wolves lightly and whichever side he picks should be strong enough to see Chelsea through to the next round. Hopefully another trip to Wembley beckons.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Grim Oop North! Chelsea FanCast #377

    13/02/2017 Duração: 01h59min

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Clayton Beerman and Mark Worrall to look back at yesterdays trip oop North to Ice Station Zebra where Chelsea tuffed out a 1-1 draw against Burnley at Turf Moor. We also look ahead to next weekend's FA Cup 5th round tie against Wolves which will evoke memories of fixtures past against the boys from the black country. On the show tonight we explain why its most definitely grim oop north when playing football in Burnley but a draw was not quite the disaster that many thought it was. In part two we indulge in the great Matic v Fabregas debate. Is it fair to point the finger at one Matic? Should Fabregas get a chance to wave his magic hat? How do we accommodate one or both of them or should we leave it all to someone who actually knows his onions – Signor Antonio Conte? In part three, we look ahead to the FA Cup 5th round match against the Wolves on Saturday. Can we start dreaming of the quarters or even a FA Cup & League double? We’ll also recall some infamous

  • The Kerry Dixon Show - Burnley v Chelsea

    09/02/2017 Duração: 28min

Kerry Dixon gives us his thoughts on last week's decisive victory against Arsenal plus a look ahead to the game against Burnley this Sunday. Chidge and Kerry applaud a great Eden Hazard performance and ask was it better than Maradona's goal against England in 1986 (a goal Kerry witnessed first hand in the Azteca stadium!). We also praise the phenomenal performances of Kante of late and discuss whether Chelsea have knocked Arsenal out of the title race. Picking up on the Chelsea news this week, we discuss whether Courtois may leave Chelsea in the summer and would Lukaku be a suitable replacement for Costa if he takes the slow boat to China? Looking ahead to Burnley at the weekend Kerry warns against complacency especially against a tough physical Burnley side cast in the image of their husky voiced manager Sean Dyche. But what will Kerry predict as the scoreline, and will Chidge get his prediction spot on like he did against Arsenal? All this plus a treat for Kerry with a blast from a past Arsenal... &

  • 'Arse-wipes!' Chelsea FanCast #376

    07/02/2017 Duração: 02h03min

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Tony Glover and Alex Churchill to bask in yet another spanking of the Arse. On the show tonight we celebrate one of the best goals I’ve seen at the Bridge, we marvel at the phenomenon that is N’Golo Kante and cry foul at Arsene Wenger, crying foul. In part two we salute Courtois – but can we keep him? We explore what is wrong with Arsenal and in particular their fans – should we thank them for the entertainment or refer them for psychiatric help? And we’ll ask is it all over bar the shouting and what are the trickiest matches we have coming up? In part three, we look back at the draw against Liverpool last Tuesday – applaud Luiz’s free-kick and ask was it 2 points dropped or one point gained. We’ll also give our very own tribute to Sir Frank of Lampard who announced his retirement last week. In part four we have some unbelievable emails from Alan Gavurin; Julian Spranger; Barrett DuPerron; Paul Marjoram and Annely Press. At least two of them might well make...

  • The Kerry Dixon Show - Chelsea v Arsenal

    02/02/2017 Duração: 32min

Stamford Chidge is joined by Chelsea Legend, Kerry Dixon to discuss the draw in midweek against Liverpool and look ahead to this Saturday's crucial match against Arsenal. Chidge & Kerry talk about the draw against Liverpool and feel that it was definitely a case of a point gained rather than two dropped, especially thanks to our nearest rivals all dropping points. While for Chidge, Kante and Luiz were the stand out players, Kerry applauded the team effort and was particularly impressed with Luiz's free-kick. Turning to Arsenal this weekend, Kerry gives us his views on Arsene Wenger and whether it will make any difference with him not being on the bench; will Arsenal be keen to bounce back after their defeat against Watford or will Chelsea be more keen to put to rights their defeat at the Emirates Stadium earlier in the season. With concerns raised about the current fitness of David Luiz and Eden Hazard, Kerry believes that it might be affecting Hazard more, and if so its better to have players 100% fit

  • 'Buzz Off!' Chelsea FanCast #375

    30/01/2017 Duração: 01h52min

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Tony Glover & Alex Churchill to discuss Chelsea taking care of 'buzziness' dispatching the 'Bees' 4-0 in the FA Cup on Saturday. On the show tonight we salute Brana Ivanovic and discuss the great contribution made by a loyal servant to the club and ponder some of our favourite Brana moments. We’ll also be following the FA Cup draw live and discussing who Chelsea will be playing in the last 16. In part two we praise Conte, and ask who impressed most out of the fringe players who got a chance, and who disappointed. In part three, we look ahead to what will possibly be a season defining week for Chelsea with Liverpool coming up on Tuesday night, followed by Arsenal on Saturday. We also have a look back at the implications of the CPO AGM held last Friday and what the passing of Resolution 9 means. In part four we have one excellent email to get the debate going as well as an exciting announcement about our involvement with the Sure Chelsea collaboration and a..

  • The Kerry Dixon Show - Chelsea v Brentford

    26/01/2017 Duração: 33min

Kerry Dixon joins Stamford Chidge to look back at the win against Hull and preview the FA Cup tie v Brentford and the massive match against Liverpool next Tuesday. Kerry and Chidge admit the win against Hull was much tougher than they thought, but after all, these are the wins you have to grind out if you want to win the title. Thank goodness for Diego Costa who again scored the crucial goal and seems to have his head back in the game. Another who's head appears to be back in the game is Courtois and his performances this season are contributing hugely to Chelsea's defensive solidity and success. Kerry believes that if he keeps this up he will undoubtedly be the best goalkeeper in the world. Let's hope Chelsea can keep hold of him! With Eden Hazard going off after 60 minutes against Hull, Chidge and Kerry wonder whether he needs to toughen up mentally as well as physically in order to gain the consistency he needs to be one of the best players in the world. Turning to the Brentford FA Cup tie, Kerry... &

  • Minding the Gap! Chelsea FanCast #374

    23/01/2017 Duração: 01h53min

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver, the Overseas Supporters rep on the Chelsea Supporters' Trust, Charles Rose, Chairman of the Chelsea Pitch Owners and the Girl Who Likes Balls - Alex Churchill, to discuss the Chelsea v Hull City match. On the show tonight we’ll send our best wishes for a speedy recovery to Ryan Mason and discuss the superb response by the Chelsea supporters to both his injury and to the remembrance of Carl ‘Wurzel’ O’Brien In part two we praise Hull, Costa and Cahill but not the Referee, as well as asking should Fabregas start ahead of Matic when we are at home and with the team looking somewhat fatigued, does Hazard need a rest? In part three, with the Chelsea Pitch Owners AGM coming up on Friday, we have an interview with CPO Chairman, Charles Rose to discuss the Chelsea Pitch Owners – what happens next now we have permission to redevelop the stadium and why the CPO are still relevant. In part four we have some excellent emails which will no doubt provoke a bit...

  • The Kerry Dixon Show - Chelsea v Hull

    19/01/2017 Duração: 29min

Stamford Chidge & Chelsea Legend Kerry Dixon discuss the fall out from Costa's apparent bust up with Conte; look back on a decent win against Leicester and look forward to this weekend's match against Hull City. Kerry gives us his unique insight in to what it's like to be unsettled by a club coming in for you and offering big money. Can you put it behind you and knuckle down and put in 100% for the team and will Costa? Whilst praising the football played by Willian-Hazard-Pedro against Leicester, Kerry argues that it's very much 'plan b' and that we really do need a focused and firing Costa to maintain our title challenge. Looking at the match against Hull City on Sunday, Chidge and Kerry can't see anything other than a healthy Chelsea win but even though we have a good lead on our title rivals, this is no time to get complacent with crucial matches against Liverpool and Arsenal coming up. Win those and it will be a different matter!  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • The Costa Everything & the Value of Nothing! Chelsea FanCast #373

    17/01/2017 Duração: 02h19min

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Tony Glover and ESPN's Chelsea correspondent Liam Twomey to discuss Costa-gate, Chinese takeaways over land and sea...and Leicester! On the show tonight we’ll attempt to sort out the truth from the fiction of Costa-gate and ask if and when he is likely to leave the club for the eastern delights of dim sum. In part two we’ll take a look at the Leicester match and applaud Alonso and the axis of big thrills that is Willian-Hazard-Pedro and ask will there be life after Costa? We’ll also have a quick delve in to the ramifications of the decision by Hammersmith and Fulham Council to grant Chelsea planning permission to re-develop Stamford Bridge. In part three, we have an interview with Chris Barnett who is the director of a new documentary about Kerry Dixon which is coming out on DVD in March. In part four we have some excellent emails which will no doubt provoke a bit of discussion. Please support the family of Carl (Wurzel) O'Brien by applauding on the 55th...

  • The Kerry Dixon Show - Leicester v Chelsea

    12/01/2017 Duração: 28min

Stamford Chidge and Chelsea Legend, Kerry Dixon, discuss last weekends Cup game against Peterborough and in particular the performances of Batshuayi, Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek and Zouma. Kerry has some interesting and perhaps unexpected things to say about the return of Ake from his loan spell at Bournemouth and taking of Bournemouth, would JT really give up the last 6 months of his Chelsea career to go on loan there? Kerry also gives us his view on the news that planning permission has been given to Chelsea to redevelop Stamford Bridge and tells us what the ground and the area means to him. Finally we preview the game against Leicester this weekend and predict a tough game but one in which Chelsea need to bounce back from defeat to Spurs last time out.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
