'The Rhythm Method!' Chelsea FanCast #305
13/01/2015 Duração: 01h47minStamford Chidge, Sophie Rose, Chelsea journalist Dan Levene and Chelsea season ticket holder Dan Silver discuss Chelsea's win against Newcastle. Chelsea got back to winning ways and the title challenge got back on track with a 2-0 win against Newcastle on Saturday, but they made hard work of it. Were Cahill and Courtois rested or dropped for Cech and Zouma? A fitful and poor first half made way for a better second half where the team cajoled by Jose Mourinho finally found their rhythm. But are Chelsea getting away with it at the moment? How do they keep their rhythm in the weeks ahead? One hopes that Oscar and Costa have both found their form and rhythm too. All will be revealed on the Chelsea FanCast tonight! The team discuss the Chelsea v Newcastle game including the player ratings, and the nominations for this week's Match Awards - the Fannies - for Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness & Celery Moments before looking at this week's Chelsea news including the FA charging Jose Mourinho...

New Year Blues! Chelsea FanCast #304
06/01/2015 Duração: 01h46minStamford Chidge & Sophie Rose are joined by Jonathan Kydd, Charlie Skillen, Dan Silver & Jason Coveyduck to discuss Chelsea v Watford in the Cup and the marathon that was the Christmas fixtures! So the Christmas marathon finally came to an end yesterday as Chelsea washed away their New Year’s Day blues with a win against Watford in the FA Cup. After a poor first half, Jose brought on the cavalry in the form of Willian and Diego Costa and Chelsea ended up winning comfortably. More noteworthy though was the absence of Jose’s untouchables. Has the Special One finally realized that some of our players clearly needed a rest? Better late than never I suppose. Let’s hope he learns to trust the likes of Zouma and Remy for the second half of the season! On the show tonight we’ll be kicking off with Ross’ player ratings for the Watford game, before we have a good old natter about the game itself asking what's up with Andre Schurrle and are Remy and Zouma the answer? No fannies this week, but instead we’ll...

Ducking & Diving! Chelsea FanCast #303
16/12/2014 Duração: 01h49minStamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd and journalists Charlie Skillen and Dan Levene to discuss the wins against Hull and Sporting Lisbon, oh and apparently Chelsea are a team of divers! Chelsea got back to winning ways this week with a win in their final Champions League group game against Sporting Lisbon. Jose had promised us youth in the team, but all we got was Rubin Loftus-Cheek for an 8 minute cameo at the end when Jose believed the game to be safe. Will Jose blood the promising youth players or is he too risk averse. And in the light of 2 submissions and a fall or two bookings and a let off for diving in the 2-0 win against Hull, was Jose unwise to declare that Chelsea players don’t dive a few months ago. Should we really care as to whether our players dive or not - after all winning is everything, isn’t it? On the show tonight: Ross’ Ratings for Hull and Sporting Lisbon games. We’ll be having a chat about the Hull and Sporting Lisbon games and we’ll be awarding the Fannies for the Hull...

"Taking The Papiss!" Chelsea FanCast #302
09/12/2014 Duração: 01h47minStamford Chidge and Sophie Rose are joined by Jonathan Kydd, Charlie Skillen and Beth Wild to discuss the Newcastle and Spurs games. A mixed week. On Wednesday we battered our bitter North London rivals to maintain our unbeaten home record against them which goes back to 1990. On Saturday we faced a different type of bogeymen – Newcastle – a team that Mourinho has yet to beat in the league. Arch bogeyman, Papiss Cisse scored twice against Chelsea again, and although we threw the kitchen sink at them in the last 15 minutes, we lost for the first time since May – 24 games ago. Well at least all the invincibles nonsense can be put to bed and we can get on with winning points and the title going forward. On the show tonight we have Ross’ Ratings for Newcastle & Spurs games and we’ll be having a chat about the Newcastle & Spurs games and awarding the Fannies for Man of the Match, Chant of the Match, Celery and Guinness moments. All that plus Chelsea Chadder stats and a few of your emails. The...

Post European Blues! Chelsea FanCast #301
02/12/2014 Duração: 01h50minStamford Chidge is joined by Dr Mart, Jonathan Kydd, Charlie Skillen, Sophie Rose and the Benches to discuss the stunning win against Schalke and the frustrating draw against Sunderland, and all things Chelsea. Chelsea came up against a red & white brick wall against Sunderland on Saturday and a frustrating evening was had by all, especially street fighting man Diego Costa who tried very hard to get sent off and is now suspended for the Spurs match on Wednesday. Were the players tired after 3 games in a week? Were they off their game by 10% or did Sunderland play out of their skins and defend for their lives? Can we expect more of the same from teams now scared of letting Chelsea run away with it? At the end of the day this is a game we might have lost last season and as we stand we are still unbeaten and top of the league and we’ve got Spurs on Wednesday! On the show tonight: We've got Ross’ Ratings for Sunderland and Schalke games and we’ll be having a chat about the Sunderland and Schalke games... &

"300!" Chelsea FanCast #300
26/11/2014 Duração: 01h51minThanks to a lack of crew in the TV studio we had to return to our roots and do an old skool podcast this week, which seemed appropriate as it is our 300th, yes 300th show! Stamford Chidge is joined by Dr Mart (who was on the first show); Ross Mooring; Jonathan Kydd; Sophie Rose and Mail On-line editor and Chelsea supporter Charlie Skillen. Chelsea waltzed to an easy 2-0 win against the Baggies on Saturday with Hazard, Oscar, Fabregas, Willian and Cost putting on a dazzling display. The game was all over on half an hour when Yacob was sent off for a two footed lunge on Costa. Should we have battered them more than two nil - probably? Do we care so long as we got all three points – probably not! At the end of the day we are seeing some great football, we have broken our record for games unbeaten at the start of the season and of course “we’re top of the league, we’re top of the league! We pay tribute to John Neal, Chelsea manager from 1981-85 who sadly died at the weekend, and have a chat about the... &

'Unspeakables 1 Indomitables 2' Chelsea FanCast #299
11/11/2014 Duração: 01h46minStamford Chidge, Sophie, Pablo, Jonathan & Seb and the Benches discuss the clinical win against Liverpool and the frustrating draw against Maribor, as well as the Fannies, Chelsea Chadders Stats and the Chelsea news round up. Chelsea shook off their somewhat complacent draw with Maribor last Tuesday with a gritty and intimidating performance at Anfield on Saturday. Liverpool drew first blood rather luckily but after equalizing, Chelsea always looked like winning and once Costa slammed the ball in to the net to make it 2-1, Jose Mourinho’s Mean Machine crushed the life out of Liverpool and the match to take all three points. But it could have been different had referee Antony Taylor given hand ball against Cahill for what might have been an equalizing penalty for Liverpool. But that’s how the cards fall and the Blues go marching on! All this plus Ross’ Ratings for the Liverpool and Maribor games; the Fannies for Liverpool and Maribor games – Man of the Match, Chant of the Match, Celery and Guinness...

Atmospheric Pressure! Chelsea FanCast #298
04/11/2014 Duração: 01h47minStamford Chidge is back in the saddle tonight and is joined by Sophie, Dr Mart, Jonathan and Seb plus the Benches to discuss the wins against QPR and Shrewsbury and Jose's comments about the lack of atmosphere at the Bridge. All this plus the results of the Fannies Match Awards; Chelsea Chadders Stats and the latest Chelsea News. More aggro off the pitch than on it on Saturday as Jose Mourinho put the boot in to Chelsea supporters for the poor atmosphere at Stamford Bridge. Does he have a point or was he deflecting from a poor performance by the boys in Blue? To be fair I thought that both the performance on the pitch and in the stands was not as bad as Jose thinks it was. QPR defended well, and whilst Chelsea’s final touch seemed to be missing, their desire and work rate was there for all to see. It would have been nice to smash the bash street kids from W10 but 2-1 and three points means we are still top of the league even if we are not having a laugh! We've Got Big Balls! The Chelsea FanCast 296
22/10/2014 Duração: 01h46minSo Chelsea grew some balls and got revenge for their defeat last year at Shellsuit Park. Even a red card, the Palace Parrot, Palace Ultras nawty banner and lascivious cheerleaders couldn’t knock them off their stride. In truth for most of the game it was a stroll with 72 % possession and about 10 million passes being something of a record in the premier league for an away side. We’ll forgive them the defensive lapse at the end and focus instead on two scandalous goals which according to some leave Chelsea top of the league! On the show tonight we’ll be having a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Palace game and then digging out the bones of the 2-1 win. We’ll also have the Fannies this week for the Palace game where we will be awarding our MOTM, COTM, Celery and Guinness moments. Later on we’ll be having a quick look back at the wins against Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon and having a discussion about the Overseas game; Jose’s handshake-gate and his footballistic interview with Gary Neville. All... &

Foxtrot Oscar! Chelsea FanCast #295
30/09/2014 Duração: 01h47minGood to see Zouma, Ake, Luis and legend Petr Cech getting a start in the Capital One Cup win against Bolton in midweek – a match the pundits thought was a close run thing but of course in reality was a stroll. A stroll for yours truly as well as I was lucky enough to be a guest in the Directors Lounge for the match where I had some personal time with the European and Europa Cup and some Blue Cake at half-time. More of that later. Saturday was also a stroll as Chelsea put the Villains away with a 3-0 win without really getting out of second gear – and remember this was 1st against 3rd. Oscar looks like he is back and Costa scores again. Happy Days at the Bridge. On the show tonight we’ll be having a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Villa and Bolton games and having a chat about what we thought of the two games. We have the Fannies this week for the Villa and Bolton games where we will be awarding our MOTM, COTM, Celery and Guinness moments. All this plus Chelsea Chadders stats and the Chelsea... &

The Ghost of Frank Lampard Past! Chelsea FanCast #294
23/09/2014 Duração: 01h43minA rather perplexing week! We start our Champions League campaign against Schalke in midweek, strolling it, take our foot off the pedal, allow them back in to the game and get a 1-1 draw. We go to the champions back yard for our biggest test of the season, are under the kosh for most of the game until we get a smash and grab goal that looks like win4479386ning it, only for our greatest ever player to come back to haunt us and score against us to deny us a hard fought three points. It could only happen with Chelsea couldn’t it? Oh well in my book Frank Lampard goals should only ever count for Chelsea which means we really won the game 2-0! Either way we’re still unbeaten, and top of the league with a healthy gap between us and our main rivals. On the show tonight we’ll be having a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Man City and Schalke games and having a chat about what we thought of the two games. We have a combined Fannies this week for the City and Schalke games where we will be awarding our MOTM...

Costa Bravo! Chelsea FanCast #293
16/09/2014 Duração: 01h45minPretty much a perfect day at the Bridge on Saturday and tempting to say it was all about one man – Diego Costa. With his first hat-trick for Chelsea that’s now 7 goals in 4 games and some feat. But also nice to see Loic Remy get on the score sheet in his debut. A superb start to the season for Costa and Chelsea, top of the league and there is a belief around Stamford Bridge already that Jose is building something very special here. 4472851On the show we have a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Swansea game and discuss Chelsea's win; Costa's hat-trick and Fabregas' assists as well as Remy's debut goal. And we ask is there a cause for concern with the defence conceding 5 goals in 2 games and does Eden Hazard need more protection. We have the Fannies this week for the Swansea game where we award our MOTM, COTM, Celery and Guinness moments, Rob Shepherd joins us on the phone to discuss whether or International Football is rubbish, will Ronaldo join Chelsea for £500k per week and should Rio Ferdinand...

The Day Football Went Mad! Chelsea FanCast #292
03/09/2014 Duração: 01h44minAbsolutely mental – Everton v Chelsea had a ring of the old skool football match about it in a 9 goal thriller. It could and perhaps should have been all over after 3 minutes as Chelsea roared in to a 2-0 lead. An excellent Everton side just wouldn’t give up, and gave us a good game, but like the fit bird in the nightclub, Chelsea always stayed tantalizingly out of reach. What a game, what a result and what a statement to make. No other sides will put six past Everton at Goodison this season. On the show tonight we’ll be having a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Everton game and discussing one of the most mental games I have ever seen. We also have the Fannies this week for the Everton game where we will be awarding our MOTM, COTM, Celery and Guinness moments. Later in the show we have a chat with Sunday Telegraph Football Correspondent Jason Burt about Chelsea’s transfer business this summer and the impact of Financial Fair Play. We also discuss Chelsea’s Champions’ League draw and we be say...

TallyHo! The Chelsea Football FanCast 291
27/08/2014 Duração: 01h42minNothing quite like being back at home and a top day was had by all before and after with quite a few clearly lacking match fitness in the drinking stakes. Thanks to the Finborough Arms for looking after us so well pre-match. As for the match it was definitely a game of two halves as a determined Leicester side proved hard to break down and were a threat on the break. It looked very much like so many games last season until a Jose rollicking at half time clearly woke Chelsea up and it was pretty much one way traffic for the rest of the game as we had the foxes in the run, as Costa and Hazard made sure of the result in a 2-0 win. On the show tonight we’ll be having a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Leicester game and discussing lazy players, a game of two halves and the Return of the Drog. We also have the Fannies this week for the Leicester game where we will be awarding our MOTM, COTM, Celery and Guinness moments. Later in the show we’ll be having a chat with football writer and friend of the...

'Balls Out In Burnley!' The Chelsea Football FanCast #290
20/08/2014 Duração: 01h40minIt’s back – the thing you have been waiting for since the last kick of the 2013/14 Premier League season. No more pre-season, no more desperately seeking transfer rumours. The most overhyped, bloated, self-publicising and self-opinionated thing in football is back. No, not the Premier League – The Chelsea FanCast!!! Top performance by a new-ish look Chelsea in the grim North last night. Always a potentially tricky match first up, and a banana skin looked on the cards after they went 1-0 down, but thereafter it was all Chelsea as Mourinho seems to have found the balls that were missing from the side last season. A great debut from Fabregas and a debut goal for Costa, but does Courtois selection mean the end for Chelsea legend Petr Cech? On the show tonight we’ll be having a look at Ross’ player ratings for the Burnley game and discussing the impact Costa and Fabregas will have in the Chelsea side and does the performance last night justify Chelsea as title favourites. We’ll also be asking if Courtois...
