(STINGER: New Japan) Kota Ibushi’s status for the main event of New Japan’s Wrestle Grand Slam in Tokyo Dome on Sunday...is in doubt. New Japan announced early Wednesday that Ibushi has been diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. It also clarified that this illness is not related to a recent COVID-19 vaccination that Ibushi received. He’s been pulled from all events through July 24th. The Dome show is on Sunday the 25th. Ibushi is set to challenge Shingo Takagi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. New Japan is promising an update on Ibushi’s status before then. New Japan’s next stop on its Summer Struggle tour is on Thursday...with two singles matches topping the card: Tetsuya Naito vs. Taichi...and SANADA vs. Zack Sabre Jr. Two new matches
