(STINGER: WWE) The date is set for the latest showdown between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. It’ll happen on October 21st...when WWE returns to Saudi Arabia for its latest Crown Jewel show. WWE announced the match Thursday, but did not promise that Reigns will defend the Universal Title...because he has a title defense against Finn Balor at Extreme Rules on September 26th. The Street Profits will get another shot at The Usos and the SmackDown Tag Titles at Extreme Rules. Their title match last Friday ended in a disqualification. As of Thursday night, there are no matches announced for tonight’s SmackDown. He was added to the match after Dunne and Ridge Holland attacked Kyle O’Reilly backstage. Last night’s show ended with Ciampa having a backstage staredown with another newcomer - Bron Breakker - who is the son of Rick Steiner. Breakker opened the show in an impromptu match against LA Knight, and Breakker got the win, pinning Knight with a powerslam. Shannon Spruill - better known to pro wrestling fans as Daffney - has died. Daffney made her debut with WCW in 1999, and won the company’s Cruiserweight Championship the following year. She later wrestled for TNA and various independent promotions. Injuries shortened Daffney’s in-ring career. Her last match was over a decade ago, though she continued to make appearances for different companies over the years that followed. Her death was announced on Thursday.
