If you are fairly new to AA you may not of heard of Joe and Charlie but you will eventually. They are a pair of the much loved characters we have in AA, they have hosted 12 step workshops all over the US and the world over many years. This is the first part of one of them it runs about 90 min (it ends a bit abruptly), they always do an amazing and consistent job at explaining the big book. This is just one part but there are full versions of this on the podcast already, they always vary a little so when I get a nice recording like this one is (from 2003) I dont mind a bit of overlap. Today we have multiple speakers each having over 20 years sober sharing at the old timers meeting hosted at the 24th Big Island Bash held in Kona Hawaii in April of 2012. There was a considerable amount of unpleasant mike noise as the speakers changed, I cut as much of that out as possible, it made some abrupt starts and stops. Aug 30th I posted one part of this 4th Step Workshop and had many emails asking for the rest of it, so this is the full 5 part workshop totaling just under 5 hours. Rick and Bob are the workshop leads, it was held in Mankato Minnesota in 2008, I dont have any other information about this workshop. The audio quality is good but there is some mike noise as each section starts, it doesnt last more than 45 seconds or so. There are some audibility issues as they do Q & A throughout the sessions but the answers make the inaudible questions fairly clear and lastly, I put a brief click track between parts. I dont know much about this meeting other than it was recorded on founders day in June of 1996. The two speakers are Nancy OD as the 10 min opening speaker and Denise P from Danville telling her story for the balance of the meeting. The sound quality goes a bit fuzzy in the last few min of this recording but its not bad.
