Episódios

  • with Ally Murphy

    22/02/2017 Duração: 40min

When Ally was racing professionally she was racing for the best team in the world. Her hard work was behind countless team wins and her reputation for turning herself inside out was know throughout the peloton (and the world...). A few years ago Ally started making bars to eat during training and was testing them out on her teammates. Now, those bars have grown into a full blown business, Ally's Bars. Some of the most delicious bars on the market! (I'm a personal fan of the Apple Carrot Ginger flavor) In addition to being a business woman, Ally is also a new mother to Liam Blaze Murphy, born late September 21, 2016 to Ally and her husband John Murphy (professional rider for Holowesko Citadel).  Ally and I chatted about her career, wrestling, teamwork, and much more in episode four of Wheel Talk...   allysbar.com Hosted on Acast. On episode three of Wheel Talk: Alison Powers and I discuss the change between racing for yourself on downhill skis and racing for a team on a bike along with how she is spending her "retirement", and more!  Alison's coaching company can be found here: alpcyclescoaching.com  Hosted on Acast. • with Amber Pierce

    08/02/2017 Duração: 45min

In episode two of Wheel Talk I chat with teammate Amber Pierce about her start in cycling, injury, nutrition, getting bad advice, and much more. An episode packed full of laughter, jokes, and great advice (that you should take with a grain of salt). Amber has been racing professionally in the USA and Europe for many years and is incredibly intelligent, she is a fantastic mentor for anyone getting started and even for pros who are still finding their place in the sport.  During the podcast Amber and I discuss injury and the website http://injuredathletestoolbox.com which helps athletes mentally work through injury. Additionally, here is a link to Amber's podcast "Network for Advancing Athletes" https://www.advancingathletes.org/podcast/ Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
