  • 212: Creating Cash Flow and Getting Out of the Rat Race - with Tim Rhode

    28/03/2018 Duração: 39min

After retiring at age 40, Tim Rhode became the creative force behind 1lifefullylived.org—a non-profit that helps people master their lives, so together WE can change the world. He is also the co-founder of GoBundance, which is a tribe for healthy, wealthy, generous men who choose to lead epic lives. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Tim now for quite a few years, and I can truly say, he’s one of the most positive, uplifting and generous people I’ve ever met. Although Tim barely graduated high school and never attended any college, he went on to create the life of his dreams. After a very humble beginning (he was a grocery clerk until 25) Tim went on to build a real estate empire, which has afforded him the opportunity to retire at the early age of 40. • 211: What I Did To Beat Cancer

    21/03/2018 Duração: 50min

In October of 2016, I woke up in the middle of the night, struggling to breathe. Days later, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia—a very rare and aggressive form of cancer—with a survival rate of 30%. I was told that I had a matter of days to start chemotherapy, or I would die. I took a somewhat unique approach to beating cancer that combined the best of Western medicine with holistic practices to detoxify my body as the chemo wreaked havoc upon it. Not only did I survive, but I experienced less side effects than most cancer patients. Today, I’m doing my first solo episode, in a very long time, to tell my story and present the Miracle Equation that helped save my life. Whether you know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, you yourself have been diagnosed with cancer, or you simply want to minimize your risk of ever getting cancer, this episode is for you. • 210: Happiness & Fulfillment – What’s the difference?

    14/03/2018 Duração: 26min

Today I got together with my long-time friend, Carey Smolensky, to discuss an important topic that I don’t often talk about – happiness. Carey wanted to know where it sits in relation to passion and the way I live my life, and it was a joy to explore. Carey has also been helping to produce spectacular live events for years, including our annual Best Year Ever Blueprint, and after years of us twisting his arm he’s finally producing his own first major event—The Passion Summit—in Chicago on May 7th and 8th. At The Passion Summit, I will be presenting a brand new keynote—titled What Matters Most?—and helping to answer this universal question that we don’t typically ask. (If you’re interested in attending The Passion Summit, click here to register. Use the code YOPALVIP to save up to $350.) But before that, I think you’ll really enjoy today’s conversation about Happiness & Fulfillment.  Show Notes: HalElrod.com/210

For the last two years, I’ve become a huge fan of Aubrey Marcus – podcast host, author, and the founder and CEO of Onnit, the leading supplement company for human optimization. Within the first few minutes of hearing Aubrey’s podcast (two years ago) I felt an instant connection with him as a deeply thoughtful, highly evolved, and exceptionally brilliant individual – one who I could learn A LOT from – and I think you will too. Aubrey recently released the book Own The Day, Own Your Life (available now for pre-order) - his personal manual for getting the most out of your body and mind on a daily basis. I’m about halfway through the book now, and I made significant changes to my daily routine – after reading just the first few chapters. Today, Aubrey joins me on the podcast to talk about his book, how to flip the script when the voice in your head is telling you not to do something that’s good for you, and how we can set ourselves up for success in a world that doesn’t always have our health and well-being in mi
