I am just doing a series where I try to explain the concepts and ideas that inform the RPGs and adventures I make. 

I talk about the kung fu revenge flick, White Butterfly Killer (1973) starring Hsu Feng. 

We talk about A Chinese Ghost Story and about bringing supernatural elements into Righteous Blood, Ruthless Blades.   

Adam and I discuss the Pu Songling stories Theft of a Peach and Planting Pears. 

Struck by lightning and risen from the grave, Blood Sport Commando is back with a vengeance to review and discuss the Chuck Norris action flick A Force of One. Released in 1979, A Force of One is directed by Paul Aaron and co-stars Bill "Superfoot" Wallace as the drug infused antagonist. In this movie Chuck plays a karate instructor and full contact karate champion hired by local law enforcement to help contend with cop killing kingpins who use spinning hook kicks instead of guns to grow their drug empire. It all builds up to a fabulous showdown between Chuck and Bill. 

I quickly talk about some ideas I have for handling levels and other mechanics for the afterlife.

Joel and I debate whether Sleepwalkers, the 1992 horror film written by Stephen King, is a good movie or a bad movie. This also ushers in a month of Stephen King movie discussion. 

I do a late-night episode of Strange World of Songling. I talk about the story "Candidate for the Post of City God" from Strange Tales from the Liaozhai Studio. This is part of a series of podcasts where I will build a setting for our game Strange Tales of Songling. This first podcast is more about the foundational premise of the setting. Each episode will cover one, maybe two, stories and use that as inspiration.
