Winifred Vera Quick, Survivor of the Titanic- April 14th, 2019
14/04/2019Winifred Vera Quick, Michigan’s last survivor of the 1912 sinking of the Titanic. She was eight years old when she survived the sinking of the White Star liner Titanic. She was the last person in the world who could tell of the event from her own memory before she died on July 4th, 2002. Warren recounts a conversation with her today on the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.

His behind-the-scenes documentary about his passion project chronicles the inspiring journey of a young black writer/director (Townsend) determined to present a new image of black people in cinema while endeavoring to create a classic. The original film and documentary will screen together at the Redford Theatre at 1 p.m. today.
