It's a Holiday Miracle! This week we chat about six cinema delights that have finally come to DVD in their correct widescreen aspect ratios! Listen in on some rectangular 16x9 action as we revisit the giant mutants from Mexico in THE BLACK SCORPION (1957), attend to Bette Midler's DIVINE MADNESS (1980) followed by Steve Martin's THE MAN WITH TWO BRAINS (1983) and MY BLUE HEAVEN (1990). Next we tackle River Phoenix and Jud Hirsch in RUNNING ON EMPTY (1988) but end up in JOE'S APARTMENT (1996) with singing and dancing cockroaches! Finally, we briefly chat about an additional 30 DVDs that were previously unavailable but now back in print.

This week, the cinema speakeasy starts out discussing Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945) on Blu-ray. Then we crack open Forbidden Hollywood Collection Vol. 8 includes which includes the films, Blonde Crazy (1931), Strangers May Kiss (1931), Hi, Nellie! (1934) and Dark Hazard (1934). Then we move forward in time to discuss the second season of the animated series Young Justice: Invasion (2012) now on Blu-ray. We also have a large number of DVDs finally back in print which include Doris Day starring in both Lullaby Of Broadway (1951) and Lucky Me (1954), Deep In My Heart (1954) with Jose Ferrer, It's Always Fair Weather (1955) with Gene Kelly, Gay Purr-ee (1962) with the voice talents of Judy Garland, Mel Blanc and more, Clan Of The Cave Bear (1986) starring Darryl Hannah and Memoirs of an Invisible Man (1992) with Chevy Chase.

This week we tackle the classic Dr. Gillespie Film Collection (1942-47) with Lionel Barrymore, Till The End of Time (1946) with Robert Mitchum, ThunderCats (2011) on Blu-ray, Cartoon Network's Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends: The Complete Third Season and The Amazing World of Gumball: Volume 4. Paramounts back in print this week include The Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis Collection Volume One and Two, Here Comes The Groom (1951) Just For You (1952) Bing Crosby Double Feature and The Fan (1981) starring James Garner and Lauren Bacall.

This week we talk about the new Blu-ray of Pete Kelly's Blues (1955) starring Jack Webb. We follow up with 8 Suspense Thrillers including The Day They Robbed The Bank Of England (1960), Guns of Darkness (1962), The Password Is Courage (1962), The Hook (1963) starring Kirk Douglas, Twilight of Honor (1963) with Richard Chamberlain, Night Must Fall (1964), Of Human Bondage (1964) with Kim Novak and The 25th Hour (1967) starring Anthony Quinn. Finally we turn to TV with Sugarfoot: The Complete Fourth Season (1960-61), Cartoon Network's Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends: The Complete Third Season and The Amazing World of Gumball: Volume 4.

This week things get a little crazy with Possessed (1947) on Blu-ray starring Joan Crawford followed by a trio of rare Robert Blake DVDs including Mokey (1942), Revolt in the Big House (1958) and Corky (1972). We follow that up with two new silent films, The Cossacks (1928) with John Gilbert and Renee Adoree and the thought-long-lost Why be Good? (1929) starring Colleen Moore. Then the Crime Globe summons us forward in time to chat about Super Globetrotters: The Complete Animated Series with the Harlem Globetrotters. Finally we chat about three classic DVDs now back in print, King's Row (1942) with future President Ronald Reagan, Raymond Chandler's Murder, My Sweet (1944) with Dick Powell and Fritz Lang's Clash by Night (1952) starring Barbara Stanwyck, Robert Ryan and Marilyn Monroe.

Then we move onto the second season of Bronco (1959-60) starring Ty Hardin and finish off with two DVDs back in print, Best Foot Forward (1943) starring Lucille Ball and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1960) with Tony Randall.

New this week on Blu-ray, DC's Beware the Batman: Dark Justice - Season One, Part Two. On DVD, we go straight to The Middle: The Complete Fifth Season (2013-14). Next up, a very special horror film, Wicked/Wicked (1973) in Duovision! Then we chat about three releases starring Olivia de Havilland including Gold Is Where You Find It (1938), Wings Of The Navy (1939) and Government Girl (1943). We wrap up with several back in print DVDs featuring famous directors including Alfred Hitchcock's Mr. and Mrs. Smith (1941), Billy Wilder's Love in the Afternoon (1957), Sergio Leone's Colossus of Rhodes (1961), Antonioni's Blow Up (1966) and Sydney Pollack's The Yakuza (1974).

This week we chat about our new release of Classic Shorts from the Dream Factory Vol. 3, featuring Howard, Fine, and Howard (1933-34), AKA the men who would become the Three Stooges. The collection includes the formerly lost short, Hello, Pop! Then we tackle new Early Talkies including The Man Who Played God (1932) starring Mr. George Arliss and Bette Davis, Five and Ten (1931) with Marion Davies, One Night At Susie's (1930) starring Billie Dove and Oh, Sailor Behave (1930). Jacques Tourneur's noir masterpiece Out of the Past (1947) starring Robert Mitchum and DC Animation's Young Justice: Season One (2011-12) lead the pack this week with sparkling new Blu-ray discs. Then we follow those up with six new DVDs from producer Samuel Goldwyn including Raffles' Double Feature (1930 and 1939) starring Ronald Colman followed by David Niven, They Shall Have Music (1939) with Jascha Heifetz, the silent The Winning Of Barbara Worth (1926) and The Adventures Of Marco Polo (1938) both starring Gary Cooper, Sinclair Lewis' Arrowsmith (1931) and the heart-breaking romance Enchantment (1948).

First up, we discuss the DVD releases of two contemporary TV series, Almost Human (2013-14) a sci-fi cop show with Karl Urban followed by the gritty cop drama Golden Boy (2013) starring Theo James. Then we chat about the Big Mouth himself, Joe E. Brown and his five new releases including Broad Minded (1931) with Bela Lugosi, Local Boy Makes Good (1931), You Said a Mouthful (1932), Elmer, the Great (1933) and A Very Honorable Guy (1934).

Our first six new releases star the prolific Glenn Ford and include The White Tower (1950), Young Man With Ideas (1952), Trial (1955), Ransom! (1956), Imitation General (1958) and Torpedo Run (1958) which co-stars Ernest Borgnine. New TV on DVD includes Bronco: Season 1 (1958-59) starring Ty Hardin, the continuing saga of Beyond Westworld (1980), the animated Gilligan's Planet and the much requested short-lived fantasy series Wizards And Warriors (1983).

Alan Ladd stars in the first four films new to DVD including Drum Beat (1954), The Big Land (1957), The Deep Six (1958), and Guns of the Timberland (1960). Then we uncover some very rare film noir from Monogram including Below the Deadline (1946), The Hunted (1948), Stage Struck (1948) starring the "Ice Queen" Belita and Incident (1948). Finally we wrap everything up with Medical Center Season 5 (1973-74) with Chad Everett and James Daly.

June Allyson is featured on four new DVDs including Secret Heart (1946), High Barbaree (1947), Too Young To Kiss (1951) and The Girl In White (1952). Then we make a quick emergency stop at Childrens Hospital Season 5 (2013) before settling into five Movies of the Week including Marriage Is Alive And Well (1980), Don't Look Back: The Story Of Leroy "Satchel" Paige (1981), The Long Summer Of George Adams (1982), Our Family Honor (1985) and Where Are My Children (1994).
