Then we move on to classic TV with a discussion about the animated show THE NEW ADVENTURES OF GILLIGAN (1978) as well as the event maxi-series HOW THE WEST WAS WON: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON (1979). Going back before the Hays Code we next the five film pre-code set FORBIDDEN HOLLYWOOD, VOLUME X (1931-33). Then it's time for four from Robert Taylor in Love and War including A YANK AT OXFORD (1938), REMEMBER? (1939), the infamous propaganda musical SONG OF RUSSIA (1944) and TIMES SQUARE LADY (1935). We finish off with a pair starring Marion Davies including MARIANNE (1929) and BLONDIE OF THE FOLLIES (1932).

We chat about Hitchcock's SUSPICION (1941) on Blu-ray, the fascinating documentary CINEMA'S EXILES: FROM HITLER TO HOLLYWOOD (2009), a previously lost early talkie THE MAN AND THE MOMENT (1929) and BULLDOG DRUMMOND DOUBLE FEATURE (1929 and 1951). Then we chat about the work of Robert Montgomery including PICCADILLY JIM (1936), THE FIRST HUNDRED YEARS (1938), YELLOW JACK (1938) and HAUNTED HONEYMOON (1940) . We then move on to a pair starring Eleanor Parker including VALLEY OF THE KINGS (1954) and THE SEVENTH SIN (1957) based on W. Somerset Maugham's The Painted Veil . Finally we finish up with the Urkel-tastic release of FAMILY MATTERS: THE COMPLETE SIXTH SEASON (1994-95).

Next, TV shows on DVD lead the charge with the 6th Season of Medical Center (1974-75) and the animated 80s classic, The Centurions: Part II (1986) - part man, part machine all awesome. Next we segue into three from the sensational Marion Davies including The Floradora Girl (1930), Not So Dumb (1930), and Peg O' My Heart (1933). We cap things off with some cutting edge cinema including the caper film, A Fine Pair (1968) starring Rock Hudson and Claudia Cardinale, Peter O'Toole and Susannah York in the dark comedy Brotherly Love (1970) and the seminal Blaxpoitation crime drama, Melinda (1972) with Calvin Lockhart and the kung-fu stylings of Jim Kelly.

Our topic today is Hollywood and we'll be discussing Bob and Doug McKenzie's epic film, Strange Brew (1983) starring Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas now out on blu-ray - mouse in a bottle not included, eh!. Our second topic today is TV Classics like Young Maverick (1979-80) - he's in the wild west, and the fifth and final season of Dr. Kildare (1965-66) starring Richard Chamberlin - this one's in color, eh! Then we move on to classic films like Woman in White (1949) and Lizzie (1957) with the lovely Eleanor Parker. She's a beauty, no? And then it's time for the RKO Varieties Triple Feature with three different hour long films that bridge the gap between radio, film and TV with hosts Gil Lamb and Jack Parr with acts like Edgar Kennedy, Anne Shirley, Red Buttons and Liberace. Bogart and Bacall on two new Blu-rays are true chemistry, highly defined. Key Largo (1948) and The Big Sleep (1946) are unforgettable in HD. Also new this week are White Cargo (1942) and Lady of the Tropics both starring Hedy Lamarr. We finish off with the George O'Brien Western Collection (1938-40) featuring 9 classic oaters from RKO.

Canadian actress Theresa Lee, star of the recently released Golden Harvest DVDs, Big Bullet (1996) and Downtown Torpedoes (1997), shares memories of working in the Hong Kong and China film industry on a variety of projects with Matt, Dan and special guest/Hong Kong film fan, Jeff Briggs.

First, we're proud to present Hitchcock's I Confess (1953) on Blu-ray! We follow this with Action Adventure and Thrills from the 50s and 60s with The Whip Hand (1951), Take the High Ground (1953) with Richard Widmark and Karl Malden, a remake/homage of King Solomon's Mines called Watusi (1959), The Angry Hills (1959) with Robert Mitchum, The Angel Wore Red (1960) starring Ava Gardner, Go Naked into the World (1961) with Gina Lollobrigida and Ivan Tors' Rhino! Then we review five films from Samuel Goldwyn Productions including William Wyler's These Three (1936) with Miriam Hopkins and Merle Oberon, The Cowboy and the Lady (1938) and The Real Glory (1939) starring Gary Cooper, My Foolish Heart (1949) a.k.a Uncle Wiggly in Connecticut and finally Edge of Doom (1950) with Farely Granger. We discuss a delectable dectet of new additions to our library including Hitchcock on Blu-ray with The Wrong Man (1957), the riveting documentary Night Will Fall (2014), the final and fourth season of Lawman (1961-62), along with the TV movies Climb an Angry Mountain (1972) and The Hostage Heart (1977). Then we discuss some new Monogram-Allied Artists action films starring Wayne Morris including Sierra Passage (1950), Arctic Flight (1952), Desert Pursuit (1952) and The Desperado (1954). We wrap it up with the contemporary crime pic Mexican Manhunt (1953) with George Brent.

Matt Miller is the creator and executive producer of the very unique one season TV show, Forever (2014-15), recently released on a DVD packed with extras. We ask him how he came up with the idea of a show based around a 200 year-old immortal medical examiner and what it was like to work on an ambitious project with the likes of co-stars Ioan Gruffudd, Alana De La Garza and Judd Hirsch.

Forever: The Complete Series (2014-15) is so packed with extras and deleted scenes we suggest now's a great time to catch up or catch it fresh. Then we delve into the cult sci-fi comedy, The Ice Pirates (1984) starring Robert Urich which has just come to Blu-ray. Then we go back in time to the Pre-Code code era with two comedies starring Olsen and Johnson including, Gold Dust Gertie (1931) and Fifty Million Frenchmen (1931). Staying in 1931 we chat about Her Majesty, Love (1931) starring Marilyn Miller and the scene-stealing W.C. Fields. Who doesn't love Lucy? We chat about the early Lucille Ball comedies wrapped up in a double feature of The Affairs of Annabel (1938) and Annabel Takes a Trip (1938) co-starring Jack Oakie.

What new to disc? Just in time for awards season, we're proud to present the seventh and final season of Growing Pains (1991-92) featuring 22 episodes with new co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio! Then we join the kids of Our Gang for their only feature film, General Spanky (1936). Dick Powell and Jane Greer star in the noir-oater Station West (1948), Other westerns discussed include Roughshod (1949), Wild Bill Hickok Rides (1942) and The Younger Brothers (1949) with Wayne Morris.

We start off the new year with four Carson and Morgan comedies including The Time, the Place and the Girl (1946), Two Guys from Milwaukee (1946), Two Guys from Texas (1948), as well as Jack Carson's solo turn in April Showers (1948) with Ann Sothren. Then we move on to Family Films with the classic Anne of Green Gables (1934) starring the irrepressible Anne Shirley, the GI Dog story My Pal Wolf (1944), Bad Boy (1949) starring Audie Murphy, The Littlest Hobo (1958) featuring the smartest wandering dog you ever saw, and finally the Girl-and-Her-Horse tale, Snowfire (1958).

This week we start with four wartime films about the horror and the homefront with Hitler's Children (1943), Hitler's Madman (1943), The Doughgirls (1944) and Pillow to Post (1945). Moving on to TV of the Season we cover Lawman Season 3 (1960-61) and George Lopez, The Complete Sixth Season (2007). Then we have a Blu Christmas with National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) starring Chevy Chase and now remastered and in a Blu-ray Steelbook, as well as Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear (1991) and Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994) both starring Leslie Nielsen and new to Blu-ray.

New musicals include Everything I Have Is Yours (1952), The Merry Widow (1952) and Latin Lovers (1953) starring Lana Turner, and The Girl Most Likely (1958) starring Jane Powell. Silent screen superstar heartthrob Ramon Novarro makes his all-talking debut in Devil May Care (1929), followed by In Gay Madrid (1930), Daybreak (1931), Son of India (1931), The Son-Daughter (1932), Laughing Boy (1934) and his final MGM leading role in Night is Young (1935).

This week we have three new blu-rays including Passage to Marseille (1944) with Bogart, the musical Deep in My Heart (1954) and DC's Justice League Unlimited Complete Series (2004-6). On DVD we have even more animation with the Rankin-Bass version of The Wind and the Willows (1987), Hanna-Barbera's Galtar and the Golden Lance (1985) and the final second season of The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest (1996-7). Then we tackle Mystery and Murder with Death on the Diamond (1934), Murder in the Private Car (1934), Murder in the Fleet (1935) and The Strangler (1964) starring Victor Buono.

We start off celebrating a very special Blu-ray set, Special Effects Collection, which includes Son of Kong (1933), Mighty Joe Young (1949), The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms (1953) and THEM! (1954) in widescreen. Then we move to contemporary TV on DVD with last year's Mom Season 2 and The Middle Season 6. Then we dive into a new five film collection of pre-code DVDs with Forbidden Hollywood Vol. 9 which includes Big City Blues , Hell's Highway, The Cabin in the Cotton with Bette Davis, When Ladies Meet and I Sell Anything. Finally we end with the classic comedies The Chief (1934), It's in the Air (1935), Man-Proof (1938), and Hotel Paradiso (1966).

We start off with the Seavers in Growing Pains Season 6, then move on to a few starring Irene Dunne including Consolation Marriage (1931), Ann Vickers (1933), Sweet Adeline (1934), and Never a Dull Moment (1950). Then we talk about the great John Barrymore in The Mad Genius (1931) and The Great Man Votes (1939). Finally we discuss the more contemporary films Independence Day (1983) and Rapa Nui (1983).

New blu-rays include John Ford's The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962), Escape From Alcatraz (1979) starring Clint Eastwood, Witness (1985), Kiss the Girls (1997), Along Came a Spider (2001), 15 Minutes (2001), the puppet classic Team America: World Police (2004) and Matchstick Men (2003) starring Nicholas Cage. Wild Bill rides again on DVD with the Wild Bill Elliot Western Collection (1951-54) collecting six of his westerns together. Then we tackle seven dark noir-y sramas including Public Hero Number 1 (1935), Smart Girls Don't Talk (1948), Flaxy Martin (1949), Shadow on the Wall (1950), Cry of the Hunted (1953), Bobby Ware Is Missing (1955) and The Safecracker (1958). Finally we say good bye to BlueBell with Hart of Dixie, the Fourth (and final) Season (2014-15).
