This week, we Beware the Bat on Blu with Shadows of Gotham, Season One, Part One (2014), celebrate the fourth Stooge with The Vitaphone Comedy Collection Volume Two: Shemp Howard (1933-1937) and finally ask What Price Hollywood? (1932) - a Cukor classic with Constance Bennett and Lowell Sherman.

It's quite a week with Buster Keaton in a double release of Free and Easy (1930) in English and as Estrellados (1930) en Espanol! Then we talk about Marine Boy Season 2 (1966-67) and four classics back in print including Broadway Melody of 1940 (1940) with Fred Astaire, I'll See You in My Dreams (1951) with Danny Thomas, Peter Weir's The Year of Living Dangerously (1982) and The World According to Garp (1982) with Robin Williams.

We chat about ten new releases including the complete sci-fi TV series, Search (1972-73). Just in time for Valentines' we discuss three classic romances including DEAR HEART (1964) with Geraldine Page, and both Smilin' Through (1932) and The Barretts of Wimpole Street (1934) with Norma Shearer. Four new noirs include Roadblock (1951), Nocturne (1946), Red Light (1949) and Mystery in Mexico (1948). Finally we discuss two films co-starring an actor who would become President, Brother Rat (1938) and Brother Rat and a Baby (1940).

We celebrate 2 new DVD releases including the second season of the Dr. Kildare TV show (1962-63) starring Richard Chamberlin and Raymond Massey and the noir tinged five film collection of Bill Elliott Detective Mysteries (1955-57). And we wrap it up with discussing some great new picks on our Warner Archive Instant streaming service.

Three jumbo-sized new releases to DVD this week include the Dr. Kildare Movie Collection (1938-42) starring Lew Ayres and Lionel Barrymore in 9+ films, the Monogram Cowboy Collection Vol. 7 (1945-52) with Johnny Mack Brown, Jimmy Wakely and Whip Wilson, and finally The Jimmy Stewart Show Complete Series (1971-72) with James Stewart in his very own 70s sitcom!

We follow up with "North Western" series Kirby Grant and Chinook Triple Feature Volume 2 (1949-50) and conclude with Fibber McGee and Molly Double Feature (1942, 1944) with the radio superstars Jim and Marion Jordan and co-starring Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy.

We kick off the new year guns blazing with the DVD releases of MAVERICK Season 4 (1960-61) with Roger Moore along with four TNT TV telefilms from the early 90s including FOREIGN AFFAIRS (1993), HEART OF DARKNESS (1993) with John Malkovich, Tennessee Williams' ORPHEUS DESCENDING (1990) and THE PORTRAIT (1993) starring Gregory Peck and Lauren Bacall.
