Sherri is a formerly incarcerated felon who is one of Bill Pulte's twitter philanthropy recipients.  Sherri hit Bill's Twitter lottery on Oct. 1 when she retweeted a post promising to give out $10,000 and was selected at random. She shares how Pulte's gift has helped her to get back on her feet and to give back to other individuals struggling with addiction.  Sherri was released from prison in July 2018 after being convicted on charges of meth possession and trafficking during a case in May 2014 While in prison, Sherri went through addictions and trauma rehabilitation programs and got clean. At the time of her "Twitter lottery win" she was working hard to succeed after prison, but was struggling to pay fines in order to get her drivers' license back and get a car.  Learn more about your ad choices. Raeford Davis served the City of North Charleston police department for six years, including four years as a patrol officer and two as a special victims unit detective. On today's show Drako Sullivan joins John to share his incredible story. Drako grew up under difficult circumstances. His mother became addicted to crack cocaine when he was 8 years old. As a result, Drako took a role helping to raise his siblings.  Drako began selling drugs at 13 years old and was first arrested for selling drugs at 17. After his third drug conviction, he landed in federal prison for a 262 month sentence. While in prison he wrote and published two books, Embracing Change and At All Cost. He also learned various trades while incarated such as boiler maintenance, HVAC, and electrical.
