    11/11/2022 Duração: 34min

Is there a curse on all of Buffalo's sports teams? It seems like they haven't been able to catch a break for the longest team and this year was looking like it could be the one for the Bills until their superstar quarterback got injured. While this hasn't completely wiped their chances right off the board, it has certainly followed in the footsteps of many other unfortunate events of years and teams past. What's going on with Buffalo? Guest: Steve Foxcroft, Sports Commentator, NFL Chain Gang Member & Vice President, Fluke Transport - The CFL's Grey Cup championship game garners a lot of attention from Canadians and despite CFL football identifying heavily with all things Canadian (after all it is called the Canadian Football League) why isn't the performing artist for the half-time show a Canadian musician? Guest: Eric Alper, Publicist and Music Commentator

Scott welcomes one of Hamilton's new incoming councilors who's currently in the process of being brought up to speed before getting sworn in. What's it like so far and is it anything like the start of a new season of Survivor? Guest: Jeff Beattie, Incoming Hamilton City Councilor for Ward 10

Unfortunately, it seems our tax dollars aren't always being funneled towards healthcare, education and roads. Lots of bonuses are being paid out to crown corporations and their employees sometimes regardless of performance! We want our taxes to pave roads and teach kids not line the pockets of people who are already excellently paid. Guest: Franco Terrazzano, Federal Director, Canadian Taxpayers Federation

  • Hamilton Day is back one year later. Is it becoming an annual tradition?

    04/11/2022 Duração: 44min

Last year around this time, the people behind Hamilton Day had brought it back after a long time without it. Now we hear it's returning this year as well, possibly becoming an annual tradition going forward. Chrystia Freeland, the Finance Minister gave her mini-budget. The good news: the federal government brought in revenues of roughly $40 BILLION more than what was projected (though most of the reason might be because of inflation). The Bad News (depending on who you ask): is sounds like the Federal govenrment might pour this right back into the market, which seems to have been the cause of our inflation problem. We talk to Dr Ian Lee more about this. The CFL announced their All-Stars list... SYKE! They announced that there was a msitake with how the list was put together, so the "All-Stars" are not All-Stars anymore.

We've talked about it a couple of times this year because it keeps happening. Analysts and "experts" keep raising interests and ringing alarm bells. And yet it keeps happening! Which might mean that the alarm bells don't need to be rung, or it might mean that there will come a day where if you cry wolf enough times a wolf might appear.
