Sinopse
My journey as the 49ers Fangirl began on January 14, 1990. It was on that day that as a young girl, I traveled to San Francisco with my family for the 1989 NFC Championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams. A native Angeleno, I was rooting for the Rams. Then at some point, in the middle of the second quarter, I turned to my mom and said, I love Joe Montana. And that was it. I became a die-hard, gold-blooded Niner Faithful and never looked back.Tracy Sandler and San Francisco 49ers and 49ers Fan GirlAs a teenage girl, I watched every game, dressed in good luck outfits on game days even if those days were Monday and I had school, educated my teenage girlfriends about Steve Young and Elvis Grbac, while discussing Tom Rathman, Jerry Rice, and Ricky Watters with my teenage guy friends. I cried when the Niners lost to the Giants in the 1990 NFC Championship game damn Matt Bahr field goal!Instead of a Sweet 16, I went to Dallas for the NFC Championship game, which did not turn out nearly as well as the Rams game. I was a little older at that point, so I didnt cry, at least not on the outside (same for Super Bowl 47 and the 2013 NFC Championship in Seattle. I was there for both kept the tears inside, at least while in public). Ive cheered on every quarterback from Montana to Young to Elvis Grbac to Jeff Garcia to Alex Smith to now Colin Kaepernick. From 14-2 to 6-10, Ive stayed strong.A sportswriter in college at The University of Michigan Go Blue! (yes I have conflicting emotions about the whole Jim Harbaugh thing, happy to discuss), I decided to start a blog during the 2014 season. I pace during games; I stand during the 4th quarter; I dont eat on Sundays. My dogs one of whom is named Kappy have jerseys. I am convinced my white Kaepernick jersey can be the difference between a win and a loss, while my red Kaepernick jersey is more fickle. I fly to Santa Clara from Los Angeles for every home game. I have a blog about the red and gold. I am the 49ers Fangirl. Like the team, Ill make you laugh; I might make you cry; but together, well get through it bleeding gold and staying Niner Faithful forever. GO NINERS!

New England will travel to Denver for one last Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady Bowl, while the Arizona Cardinals head south to face off against the Carolina Panthers. [Podcast EP #19] With Coaching Search, 49ers Will Reap What They Sow | 49ers Fangirl
12/01/2016 Duração: 26minThe San Francisco 49ers fired head coach Jim Tomsula last week, which means the search for the new great coach is underway. Top names have been interviewed, with many believing that Cincinnati Bengals’ offensive coordinator Hue Jackson is the #1 choice of the organization. He’s certainly the #1 choice of a lot of fans. In this week’s Talking Touchdowns podcast, SoCaliSteph (www.twitter.com/SoCaliSteph) and I talk about the search, the candidates, and how we think it will end. It’s sure been a roller coaster so far; so it’s pretty much in line with all things 49ers. Time will tell. Go Niners! [Podcast EP #18] 49ers’ Fans Looking Forward to Seeing Less Talk and More Action (Week 18)
05/01/2016 Duração: 42minHello 49ers fans! It is 2016 and already a new era has begun for the San Francisco 49ers. After a 5-11 season in which he was put in an impossible situation, Jim Tomsula was fired. Jed York addressed the media and fans, taking responsibility for the disaster that was the 49ers’ 2015 season. However, actions speak louder than words, and it remains to be seen if this team gets turned around. On this week’s Talking Touchdowns podcast, SoCaliSteph (http://www.twitter.com/socalisteph) and I are joined by SB Nation and FanRag Sports Network’s Michael Erler (http://www.twitter.com/MichaelErlerSBN) to talk about: - General Manager Trent Baalke’s search for a new head coach - The 49ers’ need for a strong draft and free agency - Those pesky media leaks - And if we think true change is in the air. [Podcast EP #17] Here’s to 2016: It Won’t Be Any Better for the 49ers
29/12/2015 Duração: 35min49ers fans, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that the 2015 season is mercifully coming to an end, and we can start looking forward to next season! The bad news is I don’t think next season is going to be any better. So many changes need to be made on this team, and I am not confident that the 49ers’ organization is ready or willing to make them. On this week’s Talking Touchdowns’ podcast, SoCaliSteph (http://www.twitter.com/socalisteph) and I are joined by David Fucillo (http://www.twitter.com/davidfucillo) from Niners Nation (ninersnation.com) to review all things 49ers. We cover a variety of topics, including: - Mike Holmgren’s interest in coaching the Niners - The future of Jim Tomsula - The 49ers’ draft needs - And our predictions for this Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams. [Podcast EP #16] Ch-Ch-Changes Ahead for the 49ers - with special guest Matt Maiocco
21/12/2015 Duração: 34minYou win some. You lose some. In the case of the San Francisco 49ers, they just keep losing, and in ugly fashion. Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals was no exception, with the 49ers losing 24-10, and frankly, it was never really that close. So the beat goes on for the 4-10 Niners, as they play their final two games against the Detroit Lions and St. Louis Rams, on the road and at home, respectively. It’s abundantly clear that changes need to be made with all aspects of this team, starting with the coaching staff. On this week’s Talking Touchdowns podcast, SoCaliSteph (http://www.twitter.com/socalisteph) and I were joined by CSNBayArea.com’s Matt Maiocco (http://www.twitter.com/MaioccoCSN) to talk about the state of the 49ers and where they go from here. We covered a wide range of topics, including: - Who the 49ers miss most from Jim Harbaugh’s coaching staff - Who is most likely to be the new 49ers’ offensive coordinator, should Geep Chryst be fired - Whether or not the Niners should use a high draf

[Podcast EP #15] We Just Can’t Quit You 49ers | 49ers Fangirl
18/12/2015 Duração: 36minAnother week, another loss by the 49ers. That being said, 49ers Faithful means faithful through the ups and the downs. SoCaliSteph (http://www.twitter.com/socalisteph) and I have loved the red and gold too long to turn back now; so even though we are frustrated and concerned for the team’s future, we still love our Niners, no matter what. In this week’s Talking Touchdowns podcast, we discuss: - What went wrong against the Browns - Scott Ostler’s article about whether or not the Yorks would sell the 49ers - Tim Kawakami’s piece on Colin Kaepernick’s social conscience (http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawakami/2015/12/15/in-praises-of-colin-kaepernicks-social-conscience) ...all while building excitement for our upcoming trip to Santa Clara to watch the 49ers take on the Bengals – eek! [Podcast EP #14] Get Over it 49ers fans. Jed York is here to stay. | 49ers Fangirl
09/12/2015 Duração: 29minThe 49ers got their first road win of the season, and it was exciting! Yes, they’re still 4-8, but they won on the road, in overtime, and showed heart doing it. These are all good things. They showed promise. That being said, the win wasn’t the only big news coming out of Ninerville this week. Team president Paraag Marathe was reassigned, which was a shocking move, as he has been one of the Jed York’s closest confidantes. There has been a lot said about York, and the frustration from the fans is rampant. This frustration is completely understandable, but he is the CEO, and he's not going anywhere. In this week’s Talking Touchdowns podcast, SoCaliSteph (http://www.twitter.com/socalisteph) and I discuss our thoughts on York, the surprising move regarding Marathe, as well as: • Sunday's win • Why we owe Blaine Gabbert an apology • And our predictions for the last four games of the season. [Podcast EP #13] Your 3-8 San Francisco 49ers - with special guest Chris Biderman | 49ers Fangirl
01/12/2015 Duração: 58minBelieve it or not, the San Francisco 49ers actually played well in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals, with a solid defensive effort and continued progress from quarterback Blaine Gabbert. But, sadly, that doesn’t change the fact that they lost and that they are 3-8. On the plus side, next year brings a whole new season. On this week’s podcast, SoCaliSteph (http://www.twitter.com/socalisteph) and I are joined by Niners Digest Editor-in-Chief Chris Biderman (http://www.twitter.com/ChrisBiderman) to talk all things Niners, including: • The locker room without Colin Kaepernick • The state of Blaine Gabbert • The defense’s home prowess and road mess • And whom we think will be coaching the 49ers in 2016. Thanks for listening and if you notice an abrupt ending, we had some technical difficulties that forced us to wrap up the podcast more quickly than anticipated. Go Niners! [Podcast EP #12] 49ers Disconnected from Fans and Football | 49ers Fangirl
24/11/2015 Duração: 39minThe San Francisco 49ers organization is a mess from top to bottom. It’s not just their 3-7 record, and another bad loss to the Seahawks, it’s the leaks, the finger-pointing and general behavior not becoming an NFL team. The team looks terrible, on the field and off. As a lifelong 49ers Faithful, it’s hard to watch, not because they’re losing games, but because they’re losing class.. In this week’s Talking Touchdowns podcast, SoCali Steph (http://www.twitter.com/socalisteph) and I were joined again by writer and creator of 49ersHub Stephanie (http://49ershub.wix.com/49ershub) to discuss: - Colin Kaepernick and the media leaks - Paraag Marathe and his football analytics - The lifelessness of the team on the field - And the general feeling of disconnect that is felt by the fans and potentially the players. [Podcast EP #11] While Gabbert Does His Job, 49ers’ Defense Gets the Job Done | 49ers Fangirl
10/11/2015 Duração: 20minIn a twist no one saw coming (ok, not no one), the Blaine Gabbert led San Francisco 49ers beat the Atlanta Falcons. Gabbert got the job done going 15 of 25 for 185 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. But the real star of the show was the 49ers’ defense. In this week’s Talking Touchdowns podcast, SoCaliSteph and I discuss the game and other 49ers' thoughts, including: - The emotional rollercoaster that has been this season - Who we would start at quarterback against Seattle - And why we are encouraged for the 49ers’ future. Thanks for listening! Go Niners! *Please note that this was recorded before it was announced that Blaine Gabbert will start against Seattle. [Podcast EP #10] 49ers Out of Excuses | 49ers Fangirl
03/11/2015 Duração: 37minAfter another loss and falling to 2-6, it looks like the San Francisco 49ers realize they’re in rebuilding mode, as they traded TE Vernon Davis and a 2016 7th-round pick to the Denver Broncos for a 6th-round draft pick in 2016 and a 6th in 2017. Although this is sad and signals the end of an era, the trade was not a surprise and makes sense in the long run for all parties. So now the 49ers’ offense moves on and continues to try to find its way in the world, or at least on the football field. In this week’s Talking Touchdowns podcast, SoCaliSteph (http://www.twitter.com/socalisteph) and I were joined by writer and creator of 49ersHub Stephanie (http://49ershub.wix.com/49ershub) to discuss: - Where the 49ers go from here - The potential benching of QB Colin Kaepernick - And accountability. This season is probably going to get worse before anything gets better, but at least we’re in this together. Go Niners! *Please note this was recorded before the announcement that Colin Kaepernick is benched in favor of B

[Podcast EP #9] Is Colin Kaepernick the new Jim Harbaugh? (Podcast)| 49ers Fangirl
27/10/2015 Duração: 23minNot only were the San Francisco 49ers once again embarrassed by the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, but the team has been the subject of a lot of drama over the last few days. There are love triangles and team fights, and at the center of it all, a quarterback that may or may not be "on an island” (http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/san-francisco-49ers-colin-kaepernick-on-an-island-in-locker-room-jay-glazer-102515). In this week’s Talking Touchdowns podcast, SoCaliSteph and I were all about that Kap. We discussed everything from the Aldon Smith issue, the locker room feud, to whether or not the 49ers really have given up on the QB that took them to the Super Bowl three years ago. As two Kaepernick fans, we have lots of opinions, and Steph was able to share some of her inside knowledge. [Podcast EP #8] 1 win down. 10 to go. Next up, Seattle. | 49ers Fangirl
16/10/2015 Duração: 24min2-4! 2-4! The San Francisco 49ers are 2-4, and frankly I couldn’t be happier – I mean that seriously. Do you know how much better 2-4 is than 1-5? Like, much better. The offense is clicking, the defense did its job, even the turf helped out. But now the Niners face the division rival Seattle Seahawks on a short week, and the stakes are high. SoCaliSteph (https://twitter.com/socalisteph)and I (http://twitter.com/49ersfangirl) talked about the win over Baltimore, the much-improved play of Colin Kaepernick, Carlos Hyde’s injured foot, and whether or not we think the 49ers can pull out a win on Thursday. [Podcast EP #7] Despite the Loss, 49ers Get Their Groove Back | 49ers Fangirl
12/10/2015 Duração: 23minWell, hello 49ers fans! Did San Francisco beat the New York Giants? No. But, are there reasons to still feel encouraged? You know it! The Niners lost 30-27, which was a tough one, but they looked like a real, live football team. The offense was clicking, and QB Colin Kaepernick quieted the critics, going 23-35 for 262 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. And you know what else? He looked like Kap. For the first time in a long time, Kaepernick looked confident and in control, so hallelujah! Unfortunately, the defense couldn’t get it done, and the 49ers left New York with a loss. @SoCaliSteph (https://twitter.com/socalisteph) and I talked about the above and a lot more in this week’s Talking Touchdowns: Despite the Loss, 49ers Get Their Groove Back. [Podcast EP #6] In Defense of Kap | 49ers Fangirl
06/10/2015 Duração: 24minFootball is a team sport Niners’ fans, and for the last three weeks, the San Francisco 49ers have lost as a team, due to lack of execution on both sides of the ball. San Francisco’s loss on Sunday was no exception, though there was a bright spot and that was the defense. It looked and played so much better, holding the Green Bay Packers to 17 points. This unit seems to have made the adjustments needed to keep the 49ers in games. Not to mention, this group of guys played its heart out. On the other hand, the offense, continued to struggle mightily, and it did so as a unit. That’s the key phrase, as a unit. The entire offense has a hand in its ineffectiveness. It is not one person or one group of people. It’s everyone. @SoCaliSteph (https://twitter.com/socalisteph) and I teamed up this week to talk about the San Francisco offense, focusing on: • Torrey Smith’s postgame comments • The role of coaching • What we expect against the New York Giants • And why we still support Colin Kaepernick as our quarterback.

[Podcast EP #5] The 49ers Need a Leader, and Fast | 49ers Fangirl
29/09/2015 Duração: 33minAfter Sunday’s blowout loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the San Francisco 49ers are a team in total disarray. The offense looks terrible, the defense looks terrible, and the play calling is more than a little suspect. Among other things, @SoCaliSteph (https://twitter.com/socalisteph)and I teamed up to discuss the following: • The Colin Kaepernick Issue • Eric Mangini’s confusing defense that seems to only be confusing the 49ers • Jim Tomsula as a leader • It’s only week 3. [Podcast EP #4] Can the 49ers Recover From Their Tough Loss to the Steelers? | 49ers Fangirl
21/09/2015 Duração: 35minHappy Monday Niners’ fans! Yesterday’s loss was a doozy, and it left many a fan, including this one, concerned about the state of the team. That being said, it’s only week two and there is a lot of football left to play. This game could end up being an opportunity for the 49ers to learn, grow, and improve. I teamed up with SoCaliSteph(https://twitter.com/socalisteph) to talk about what went wrong, what went right (a couple things did), and how we think the team needs to move forward. As you can imagine, we had lots to discuss, including: • The secondary • The offensive line • The improvements we see in Kap • And those darn dropped passes Enjoy and as always, Go Niners!
