As followers of Jesus, we have the privilege of knowing that earth is not our forever home. Because of His sacrifice, we now have a home prepared for us in heaven, where we’ll get to spend eternity with the Father. But if we’re honest, when it comes to money, sometimes we live like this world is the only one that exists.

Like breathing and eating, selfishness comes naturally to us. No one had to teach us how to grab the toy away from others. We never thought twice about keeping the leftovers for ourselves. When we are generous, God will expand our hearts in unimaginable ways. Our good friend John Bevere was with us as we celebrated 35 years of Victory! He brought a timely word to carry with us throughout each day as we interact with others on our journey with Jesus. When sin entered the Garden of Eden, we lost the perfect peace and security that we can find only in God’s presence. Unholiness cannot dwell with holiness. So, because of the curse, we lost unity with God. Our connection was severed, and we could no longer see Him face-to-face.
