We also talk about the 3rd message in our new series "Made for This" called Discover My Purpose where Pastor Christian helps point people to their purpose on "Team Jesus".

This week we were in the 2nd week of our new series "Made for This". We will help people try to close the GAP in their lives between salvation and being transformed.

This is the 150th episode of the Activate podcast with Pastor Christian Newsome and the beginning of our message series "Made for This". Not only will we look at this great verse from Paul's letter in Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do", but we will also look at how we can truly know God and not just know about God. You will also learn more about our new Growth Track process to help people know how and why God created them to make a difference.

This week on the podcast Pastor Christian reflects on his message on Sunday that was full of vision and hope for the future. We believe that God still desires to accomplish every bit of the 25 year vision that he has given our church. Tune in to hear Pastor Christian share some of the exciting things happening in 2020 like our new Growth Track Process and exciting initiatives for the future.

This week pastor Christian finishes our Summer in the Psalms sermon series by unpacking Psalm 150. This series taught us how to praise the Lord in the good times and the difficult times. Worshipping God can lead us through every aspect of our lives.

We continue our teaching of the Penitential Psalms this Sunday. Psalm 51 is a result of King David pouring his heart out to God in repentance after his sin of adultery and murder. A method for restoration is unfolded as you read this powerful Psalm.

Some of the most raw and powerful Psalms of the Bible are the Penitential Psalms. Pastor Christian unpacks Psalm 32 this week and the importance of repentance and forgiveness. He also touches on the controversial Progressive Christian movement and the dangers in it.

This week on the podcast, Pastor Christian speaks deeper into the 2nd Psalm from our Summer in the Psalms series. He has a big challenge about giving Jesus authority in our lives because the world needs Jesus. His authority has to start with His followers if we want to impact the world.

This week Mike Evan, our Family Pastor, shared a message called Ambidextrous Faith in our Summer in the Psalms series. He unpacked Psalm 34, a Psalm of David when he pretended to be a madman in the Philistine territory of Gath. Tune in to learn what it means to have an Ambidextrous Faith.

After a couple weeks break we are back discussing our Summer in the Psalms series and this week Pastor Christian shares part 2 of his message on Imprecatory Psalms. We'll learn what we are to do with our spiritual "enemies" in light of the examples we see from Jesus, Peter and Paul.

This week's podcast features one of the most important Psalms in our Summer in the Psalms series, THE 23rd Psalm. On Father's Day weekend, it will allow us to look closely at our Heavenly Father. Pastor Christian shares with us some of his spiritual fathers who have had influence in his life and the importance of spiritual fathers in our own lives.

This week on the Activate Podcast Pastor Christian we unpack Psalm 1 in our new series Summer in the Psalms. You'll learn a great tool for studying and interpreting the Bible correctly and well as understanding more of the blessing that God intended for us. There is a great unpacking of the fall of man that occurred in the beginning of Genesis as well.

This week we talk about our new sermon series kick off called Summer in the Psalms. Every week we will look into the book of Psalms for our Bible teaching. The challenge from the Psalms this week is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and learn how to draw near to God. We'll also discuss our desire to be a church that looks like heaven, with all races loving each other like Jesus would.

This Sunday, we wrapped up our “One Another” series with a message from Pastor Mike Evans, titled “Encourage One Another.” It is so crucial that we focus on what the Bible teaches us about being involved in each other’s lives and how God calls us to interact with each other. Our prayer is that God would use this message to help those listening to take their next step spiritually by drawing near to God and to “one another” in terms of growing together in community.

On Sunday we continued the series titled "One Another". Our aim is to focus on the importance of spiritual community through the One Another statements found through out the New Testament. Pastor Christians gives a powerful challenge in this message that we all should follow.

This week we started a new series titled "One Another". We aim to share what the Bible calls us to do as Christians so that we can not only have spiritual community but love each other as Jesus calls us to. This podcast focuses on the new command that Jesus gave to love as He loved us. We give some practical tools to do that.

One of the great challenges that all of us are facing during this season of quarantine Is to accurately evaluate and maintain a strong level of spiritual, emotional, and mental health. Learning how to be healthy on the inside, so that we are honestly able to overflow healthy people on the outside, is the focus of this Mother's Day message, delivered together by Pastor Christian and his wife, Danielle. In this week’s podcast, we discuss how to examine ourselves and to learn how to live and love out of the “overflow” of having healthy spiritual hearts.

At Journey, we conclude our series entitled, "The Waiting Room." Each week, we've been attempting to answer the question, “What do we do when we don’t know what to do?” This week, Pastor Christian, Pastor Mike, Pastor Scott and Pastor Ryan talk about the 40 days of Temptation that Jesus endured and what life lessons we can learn from it. We also continue to take the 40 Day Pentecost Challenge to find Jesus in the midst of the journey.

At Journey, we are continuing our series entitled, "The Waiting Room." Each week, we've been attempting to answer the question, “What do we do when we don’t know what to do?” This week, Pastor Christian talks about how we can stay close to Jesus so that we can hear Him to speak us and give us direction and encouragement. All the journey may seem long, Jesus is near. We also continue to take the 40 Day Pentecost Challenge to find Jesus in the midst of the journey.
