Sinopse

In October of 2015, Mike Erre launched the VOX Podcast upon a season of struggling with the church's efforts to represent who Jesus is, what he's done, and what he is doing on this earth today. Committed to Talk About Anything, Mike quickly engaged into many of culture's most challenging conversations around the LGBTQ community, American politics, church politics, and Christian culture's catastrophe of marginalizing the very people that Jesus himself would associate with.Learn more at www.voxpodcast.com

  • 236 - Enneagram For Wholeness - with Annie Dimond

    30/03/2020 Duração: 01h16min

What do you know about the Enneagram? Where did it start? What does it mean? How can we use it? Does it have any place in our spiritual lives or is it all just a fad? Annie Diamond is an Enneagram Coach who teaches from the Narrative Method and in this episodes she explains the ins and outs of the Enneagram including it’s very early origins from the “9 Deadly Sins”. Annie discusses how every number has a “sin” or a “fixation” which can pull them away from God or others around them, and how noticing these fixations can help recenter and realign our thoughts, emotions and actions. In addition to these fixations, each number also has a door to the “higher self”, the part of the self that allows us to fully step into who God created us to be. Annie leads us through a thoughtful discussion about each these crucial aspects of the Enneagram and how it can make a big impact in our lives. If you’d like to know more about Annie, you can visit her website at: https://www.enneagramforwholeness.com or on inst

  • 222.2 VOX Mini - Feedback on Frow

    04/12/2019 Duração: 15min

A couple of weeks ago we interviewed Alan Frow (Episode 219), a pastor from Orange County, CA who is also a Complementarian. It was great to interview someone with an opposing viewpoint, but also who upheld kindness and a respectful demeanor towards women, unlike recent examples of some well known Complementarians (Episode 218). In this episode, we dive into a few emails we got in response to Frow including a question regarding planting a church with someone who holds an opposing view: Is it possible to do church ministry together while fully honoring both parties? Take a listen to see what we say, as well as our answers to a few other questions on the Women in Leadership subject.
