In this Indianapolis centric episode of Kind of Epic Show we talk to local legend and all around good guy, Rupert Boneham about Ruperts Kids. We talk to nationally syndicated radio host and fellow local podcasters The Off the Air Show in which we are podcast bombed by Colts Punter Pat McAfee And finally we speak with the inccredibly charming voice actress Ellspeth Eastman of Killer Instinct and Guns of Icarus. All recorded at this years Indy Pop Con. Before all that its been a week since our last Kind of Epic show and more than two weeks in real time so we talk about this years #E3 including the #Sony and #Nintendo press conferences. We also talk the horrible news of the Scoobie Doo reboot and TMNT movie still featuring Shredder and Splinter. All we can conclude is Shredder you got a face for podcasting and so do we. 

Our Heroes review the seventh film in the X-men series and we take a look back at the past films and what went wrong.

On todays episode we talk with Guy Gilchrist the cartoonist behind Nancy, and the Muppets cartoon. He worked very closely with Jim Henson and Jerry Jehl the creators of the muppets on many licensed properties and eventually became the co-creator of the Muppet Babies. In the rest of the episode David and Gabe provide a breakdown of PopCon Day 2!

In this episode Gabe and David recap their first day at Indy Pop Con! , Ronda Pattison the colorist for IDW's Godzilla, TMNT, and The Max comics joins us. Local comic artist David Yoder talks his community comic. Jason Moody an artist who is using his talent for philanthropy in the form of Iota Soul. A motion manga devoted to telling the stories of orphan children and connecting to charities that support them. And last but not least our first ever internet meme! We visited Bad Luck Brian at his Popcon Booth! Each one gives us an answer to what makes them kind of epic and this is just the start to our own epic weekend at Pop Con!

As well as writer on video games such as God of War, Legacy of Kain, The Darkness and Incredible Hulk: Age of Destruction, takes time to talk comic and digital storytelling with us in this Kind of Epic Episode!

Brian Henson! The CEO of the Jim Henson Company, creature creator, actor, animator, producer, and son of Jim Henson gave us his time over the phone before the launch of his new SyFy show: The Jim Henson Creature Workshop Challenge which concluded this week. Joanna Estep artist from Fraggle Rock, Fantastic Four and The legend of Bold Riley joined us from her booth at Chicago's C2E2 conference. Gabe does his best to channel the spirit of PBS in honor of Brian who appeared in Sesame Streets first episode alongside his dad.

Clay Enos is one of the people who inspired the creation of Kind of Epic Show. We wanted to showcase Epic people while providing our "kind of" epic commentary. Clay is currently hard at work on the set of Superman/Batman in Detroit as the set photographer a position he held on Watchmen, Man of Steel, Sucker Punch and 300 Rise of an Empire. In each case his work became the focus of a companion book documenting the behind the scenes process of movie and mythmaking even providing the image of Rorschach that became Watchmen's iconic poster. Clay also combined his passion for coffee and pop art while working on Watchmen to bring Night Owl coffee to life complete with a custom made Veidt logo. We talked to Clay initially in late 2011 the day of the announcement of Henry Cavill's casting. Clay was kind enough to call us back from the Warner Brothers lot and Zach Snyder's office just after that important meeting because his phone died on us while recording our interview beforehand.
