Strange Highways

This week Terry and Paul pretend to be art snobs and sneak into a private viewing of 'The Last Tsuburaya' and learn that just because you can buy something, doesn't mean you should, and then they go behind bars to meet Mr. Elmer Strick, a man who's only friends are his spiders in 'Okay, I'll Bite.' 

This week Terry and Paul stop by a movie prop museum and learn the true cost of collecting in 'Skeletons in the Closet' and then they go a get their fortunes read only to learn something sinister followed them there in 'Familiar.' Lesson learned: make sure you have a sacred crate handy at all times.  

This week Terry and Paul start Season 3 of Shudder's horror anthology series Creepshow. 'Mums' is about a young man in a abusive home tending to his missing mother's garden and happens when he plants some oddly sharp seeds. 'Queen Bee' is about how far three mega fans will go to see their popstar idol give birth. Come along with us for some spooky and goopy fun!

This week Terry and Paul eat some really stale cake and take a detour into 1957's The Incredible Shrinking Man. Mr. Scott Carey has a problem, he is getting smaller by the moment and there is no cure. As his frame shrinks, his problems only get bigger and bigger...

This week Terry and Paul are joined by Steve from the Invasion of the Podcast to talk about 1983's Twilight Zone: The Movie. Does the spirit of the original series translate well to the big screen? This week Terry and Paul somehow get fired by Mr. Wallace V. Whipple even though they don't work for him.  Wallace believes that key to efficiency and profit is through computers and automation. He doesn't see a downside to replacing everyone around him with machines... 

This week Terry and Paul wander into Happiness, Arizona, a quiet town with a very violent past, and meet Mr. Jared Garrity, a traveling salesmen of sorts. Garrity tells the townsfolk that he can resurrect the dead and will do so at midnight tonight...

This week Terry and Paul get stuck in a hot and sweaty attic with Fenton, a WWII veteran that blames the world for his problems, and Arthur, a Japanese American that has his own history with the war as well. Tensions escalate, secrets come to light, and a samurai sword keeps turning up...

This week Terry and Paul take a detour and discuss the recent release of George Romero's 'lost' film, 1973's The Amusement Park. They talk about Romero as a director and influence and how this work for hire PSA about elder abuse/neglect still is steeped in social commentary and his visual style. It's a dark ride, but we all enter the Amusement Park eventually...

This week Terry and Paul get real sweaty as they head to an unnamed town that has scheduled a questionable execution for the morning. The people gathered there to witness the hanging wonder why the sun hasn't risen as the sky stays as black as midnight... 

This week Terry and Paul head down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and meet Mr. Jason Foster, a man at death's door who isn't quite ready to walk through it. Jason has assembled his ungrateful family for one last meal and for a party involving oddly specific masks...  

This week Terry and Paul just want to drink beer and watch wrestling and not meet Mr. and Mrs. Britt. Joe is a crabby cab driver and Phyllis is the thankless wife who thinks Joe is having an affair. When Joe sits down to watch his repaired television and the recently discovered Channel 10, he starts to see his past cheating and possible future sins...
